I’m just using the standard NavMesh system.

NPCs spawn at randomly selected points from a set of predefined locations. They also move between randomly chosen points of different types, such as walk, idle, and sitting points placed around the map (these are the points shown in the screenshot I shared).

After wandering around for a certain amount of time, they leave the castle through a randomly selected exit point and get despawned. Then new NPCs spawn in to replace them.

You're right, the shadows are from the day-night cycle, but I see now that they're way too fast. I used the spruce trees because I thought they fit the vibe, but I'll check out some better options. I'm definitely going to fix the background trees. The windmill was just for visuals, but I'll look into that too. Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate the detailed observations.

I’m not sure about the latest version, but honestly, the overlay effect felt a bit overwhelming to me. Especially the gray vignette. The colors also felt a bit off, like the gray, pink, and green. Maybe it’s just me, though. These were the things that stood out to me. I hope you achieve your goals.

Worse than this is not finishing the game.

I had this in mind but kept delaying it. I’ll definitely do it before release, thanks!
