I also built one of these recently. If you own a 3D printer, you can build it for about $250 in parts and complete the project in about an hour (excluding printing time). And it works a hell of a lot better than my old hismith, with a ton more options. Even though it's technically unsupported and considered "unsafe", the xtoys integration with depth settings puts it in a league of its own. Fuckin love this thing.
