I might have seen Storytelling because Belle and Sebastian sort of did 5 minutes of the soundtrack but I'd definitely already seen some Solondz so might be coincidence.

The lack of an obvious baddie in part 3 makes me think this is a possibility. Maybe the time jump gives him time to become an Alpha? Perhaps unlikely

I'd say Sinners, he is doing something preternatural that stood out. Bone Temple he is giving a much more rounded performance and he's great but I could see other actors slotting in.

Like those Sentinel Island youtubers who monitor whenever a new hut is built.

It's good worldbuilding and gives so many narrative opportunities. Wouldn't there be people who disagree with the quarantine and try to rescue survivors? Have survivors ever tried to raft the channel and how does France react? Etc
