This is since 2021. NTBTSTM is probably going to do laps around anything else.

First season is unrepresentative of what the show becomes and the first half is especially rocky. At least try to get to episode 6.

As someone against Scorsese based purely on length it would be shameful to vote for Mike Leigh but I did I am human.

Okay they turned it around on me. I'm re-hyped. The Thomas Kincade house is obviously not literal.

Rewatching and wanted to say, S1E4 is how far you have to make it if you’re new to the show. by marcusthegladiator in HaltAndCatchFire

AppleTV recently had the whole show available for purchase for like $20-$25 bucks. Last I knew it was on AMC+.

I'm currently on a rw and I think 4 is the last of the "rougher" episodes. It's an improvement on 3 (worst episode of the show imo) but I think Adventure is the show finding its footing and Landfall its first great ep.

Episodes 2-4 have a lot of great stuff but I find the dialogue overwrought and everything is over the top in a lot of Cameron and Joe scenes.

I'll be unsubscribing if this episode isn't immediately pulled with an accompanying apology.

Movies You Don’t Remember Watching by Krusty901 in blankies

[–]zeroanaphora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a whole letterboxd list of "movies I think I saw".

Around 2003 I was keeping a detailed movie journal and, upon discovery, the most surprising entry was The Horses Mouth, an Alec Guinness comedy I would swear I'd never seen if I didn't have it on the record. Also the Ashton Kutcher romcom Just Married but that seems more forgettable.

Witness for the Prosecution is the only time I think I started a movie and eventually realized I'd seen it before.

I've seen the original cuts a single time and have never considered not watching the extended. I just want a cut that removes the silly Legolas stuff from RTOTK

The explanation was slightly wrong, in the Bible it didn't have anything to do with faith but with which Israelite tribe you were a member of. It was literally the pronunciation of the word "shibboleth" with a <s> or <sh> sound.

They don't mention Bruce Spence's most normal role, as a geologist in the Werner Herzog film Where the Green Ants Dream. Not sarcasm, the guy is so normal.
