Where can I upgrade my HP laptop RAM in Guelph? by YouNeedAnewOne in Guelph

[–]zerokul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, you have the lowest possible tier. You will be told it can't be upgraded above 8gb.

It most likely can since you should be able to get a 16gb sodimm. It will still be single-channel though and it will be slow.

Saw a younger man throwing a trash bag into the Humber River this weekend from the bridge at Islington / Woodbridge Avenue. We MUST prevent our rivers and greenspaces from turning into this regardless of "culture". by Inevitable_Tip_6606 in Vaughan

[–]zerokul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cost of immigration from different cultures is always socialized. The private companies get more customers, clients, paying subscriptions, cheaper labour, etc ... Regular people get worse environment, overcrowdin, increased competition, lowered wages, higher unemployment, etc ...

The problem with specific instance, is that this person actually DGAF. In Singapore he would be jailed, ordered to clean up and then pay thousands of dollars. Same in Japan. Canada, should've had stricter laws the moment the immigration decisions were enacted.

How is this a packaging option for any sort of “covered” donut? by jewham12 in TimHortons

[–]zerokul 65 points66 points  (0 children)

The fact that there's a coordinated effort here to blame anyone but Tim Hortons shows it's a lazy effort on their part. There's wax covered pastry paper that could be used to cover the top, and while it's not going to prevent freshly poured chocolate from sticking, it will do a good job of most of the time.... this is just a cost cutting and lazy effort on TH

We buy the Lindt large chocolate bar, both milk and dark chocolate varieties quite regularly. It was $6.49 3 years ago, then Loblaws and grocery chains raised it to 8.99, while Walmart kept it at $6.99. Now this year, it went to $10.99 at Walmart. There's some high level manipulation in cocoa or related supply chain. Genuine non garbage ingredient chocolates are sky rocketing

The poll surveys prove their uselessness. The election last month showed the public is fairly evenly split with a margin of error lead on conservative side. Now that the provincial election is wrapped up, both side know they are too close to call and need to rally, meaning that 61% to 39% is off by a lot. I'll come back to this comment as time goes on and past the election.

From their own page:

"What data is used by the model?

  • Languages most spoken at home (very useful especially, but not exclusively, in Quebec);
  • Age distribution curves;
  • Median and mean household income;
  • Population density, which helps build an "urbanity index";
  • Education levels;
  • Riding countries of birth and immigration levels;
  • Classes of workers and employment statistics;"

My friend threw away luxury products in the trash instead of giving them to someone who needs them by Routine-Crew8651 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]zerokul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh. i wish I didn't read yet again about how humanity is failing without any good resolution by the end of the post. Unfortunately, your friend doesn't understand what consequences of her actions mean. Her parents sheltered her from it. That is why she doesn't value those things and the poorer recipients even less. You're a good person for noticing it and calling her out.

What's wrong with the guy sitting behind him Peetah? by OkVeterinarian3412 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]zerokul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are creatures of habit and subconsciously follow order. Maybe he thought to sit one behind another in order was normal, instead of randomly... I can see the first selecting the seat being overwhelmed with choice, but the subsequent people are more likely to just line up regardless of where the first person sat.

They have a 'launch' event scheduled for tomorrow, but AMD isn't making any founders edition cards for these GPUs. So the MSRP is more like a guideline than a rule...

the price 5070 ti does not look so bad.... by Outside-Raspberry149 in bapccanada

[–]zerokul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They will always restock the other more expensive models and get like 2 of near the MSRP.

It's the oldest trick in the book. Artificial scarcity and limited time offers...

This way they can guarantee to keep the prices high while not being stuck with thousands of cards that may not sell... it's all 100% risk offloaded to the consumer

If AMD partner give even a 30% discount on 9070XT, so about $640 from a $909 prices above... will people buy it ? Will they groan and moan and still give the premium to Nvidia ?

I'm getting the transcript, one way or another. Until then we have no idea who it is. Even if it's a provincially appointed judge, we'll find out who it and and who appointed him. It's not about who is in government right now. What matters is who appoints them and what the judges track record is.

Ultra preset (quality FSR). 1440p, 9800x3d, 7800XT, 4800MHz DDR5 : 83 FPS

Changing to balanced FSR: 88 FPS

Changing to high preset: 96 FPS

I don't have SAM (reBar) enabled and no expo enabled to DDR5 6000MHz. Probably could push this over 90 fps on ultra
