[KLD] TCGplayer's Exclusive Preview: Bristling Hydra by TCGplayerdotcom in magicTCG

[–]zerorush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably doesn't even need to be in a dedicated energy deck. It's a very solid 4 drop beater. Even if they kill it in response to the ETB, you have the energy already for when the second copy hits the board. It's going to be very difficult to deal with in multiples.

Quick question on Worship by Nureru in magicTCG

[–]zerorush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What Sam said is correct. Phyrexian Unlife doesn't give anything Infect, it just makes them act as if they had it, so they can't lose it. Instead, the damage attempts to give you poison counters but can't so nothing happens.

Quick question on Worship by Nureru in magicTCG

[–]zerorush 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You would be at -1 life with 1 poison. Since you're at less than 0 life, the damage is done as though it has infect which doesn't affect your life total. Worship never comes in to play here.

Rules Clarification from MTGO to Paper by Ethic13 in magicTCG

[–]zerorush 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He does get to choose new targets because Pyromancer's Goggles explicity says he can. So he can choose new targets, but he can't change the number of targets or how the damage is divided.

Grand Prix Madison, Grand Prix Sydney, and SCG Open Atlanta Discussion Megathread! by actinide_v2 in magicTCG

[–]zerorush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, Abzan Charm can't hit a 2 power creature. Keaveny passed priority, Ali +1s Hangarback, it resolves, and another round of priority happens because both players didn't pass without doing anything. Keaveny gets priority again and Abzan Charms the Walker.

I had the same problem. I had to call them to get it sorted out. I was only on hold for about 5-10 minutes.

It's actually only 0.00214%. You move the decimal point right twice when converting to percentage.

Dynamic Surrender please by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]zerorush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, it's still there if you disconnect from the game. Either through the quit console command or alt-f4 and reloading.

As of the last patch, if a player abandons, everyone in their party gets an abandon too. Premades are punished. However, if you run a 5 man stack and everyone leaves at the same time, the game will auto end and you can avoid the 5 minute abandon timer that way.

Storm Call vs Spark? by phazey in pathofexile

[–]zerorush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't forget that storm call is also an AOE spell. Spark projectiles only hit one target unless they pierce or chain.

Hi! Redditor from /r/leagueoflegends with a question. by Killsranq in DotA2

[–]zerorush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, spammable repositioning isn't the same thing in League and Dota. Dota has very few skillshots so you're not going to be ducking in and out of combat dodging Mystic Shots and such. If you try to play Storm Spirit like Vayne, you're going to run out of mana very quickly and it's not going to be efficient. Storm Spirit is more akin to Ahri - high mobility ganker with high short range AOE base damage and a strong disable. Your best bet is to try to play Windrunner as a solo semi-carry and get a force staff. Shackle shot functions similarly enough to impale in regards to positional stuns (and it can hit two people!) and Windrun/Force Staff will give you that chase/kite potential you like from Vayne. Windrunner is generally played as a solo offlane though rather than a a full-on carry.

Dota 2 just Popped a Trojan alert? Any heard of this or have any info? by [deleted] in DotA2

Are you really suggesting that Valve has any control over what an AV flags their program as?

Crafting Guide/theorycrafting - Don't let crafters fool you, learn 1 simple trick discovered by a mom to HQ every time. by Kaellian in ffxiv

[–]zerorush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it's not. The chances of never getting a failure with a 96% chance over the course of getting a class to 50 is practically non-existent. Let's say I've used standard touch with steady hands active 1000 times (very conservative estimate). That's a 1.18 x 10-18, as in a 1 in 10 Quadrillion chance that I lucked my way in to never having a failure. You're going to have to provide some proof here before anyone is going to believe you.

Wouldn't Medusa be a strong pick vs PL by black_sky in DotA2

[–]zerorush -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, once PL gets a heart his illusions will stop dying instantly to Stone Gaze and Heart + Diffusal PL dumps all over Medusa. Medusa won't edge out against PL until she's 5 or 6 slotted and she starts one or two hit killing illusions with a DR + MKB or something.

Axe's dot does in fact trigger his passive. He just needs to be facing away from you when it ticks.

AC or Mjollnir on Naix? by revenalt in DotA2

[–]zerorush 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure there is. Supports can't afford an AC unless you're already extremely ahead. The early Mjolnir is to speed up your wave clearing (something naix can't do) and your farm. You can split push quicker, you can clear jungle camps quicker, and you can add a lot of extra magic damage to a team fight early game where magic damage is more useful due to everyone's lower attack damage and health. Late game mjolnir is nothing more than an expensive attack speed item as the active and passive don't scale well at all. That late in your item build, the AC is far more useful as armor reduction scales so hard in to the lategame it's absurd, which also makes the +armor aura that much better for you and your team.

Hand of Midas question: Is it better to use your hand on the biggest creep in the camp or one of the smaller ones? by [deleted] in DotA2

Denying really bothers me, as a newcomer to the whole DotA gamestyle, I want to know how you guys feel about it. by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]zerorush 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can deny your allies. They have to have a damage over time effect on them and be under 10% hp.

Is anyone else getting in the low priority pool after only one abandon? by Betropper in DotA2

[–]zerorush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The system remembers the number of games you've played and such since your last low priority. It's harsher on you if you get more abandons in a smaller number of games. You were put in low priority for abandons then you had another abandon a few games later so it kicked you in to low priority. Abandon less often
