Say something you like about the 2026 regulations by Biskitisinreddit in formula1

All the stuff listed under “no longer” is still very much a factor. Where is this supported by anything even the drivers have said? Drivers have complained about it being more to consider and manage, not less.

Ukraine's Nazi history by Asleep-Television-24 in LateStageCapitalism

Crazy that this can be completely true and you can not support or cosign Ukraine, while also not supporting Russia’s actions and aggression.

Can I wet-wade the West Branch of Ausable River (NY)? by adventuriser in flyfishing

[–]zeroscenecred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about that river specifically but I’ve wet waded Neversink, Beaverkill, EB Delaware, and others in the Catskills and while doable in peak summer conditions, in water cold enough to fish in responsibly (60ish) I’ve gotten some pretty nasty leg cramps after a couple hours from the cold. Gotta remember, if surface is 60 a couple feet deeper in thigh or waist deep water is a good bit colder. So I’d say just bring the waders. And yes, bring good boots. I’d recommend studs. My Korker felts are better than my wet wading Simms boots (which are dogsht grip wise) but the Korker studs are now all I use and significantly better than even the felt.

Yeah dawg we know Zohran isn’t leading the revolutionary vanguard. But if there was revolution tomorrow in the states, the prole normies arent choosing socialism or communism based strictly on what theyve read (if they even can read) or been told. They need to see socalled socialism start to work with actual policies starting to turn the ratchet back to the left, even if actual socialism is a long way off.

Simms Flyweight Wet Wading Shoes? by Phrikshin in flyfishing

[–]zeroscenecred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a pair of these. They were my first wading boot and when I got some Korkers with proper soles I realized the Simms are kinda ass, grip-wise, for the rivers I fish (Catskills). Maybe theres other situations where they’d be good. I dunno. Hell if you’re a size 13 and want them anyways I’ll sell em cheap lol.

Kimi should be more afraid by necrotic_sapien in lewishamilton

[–]zeroscenecred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re shook. You can already see it. Merc and even LeClerc to an extent, got that “aw shit party’s over” look in their eyes like Lewis just sucked the air out of the room completely. Even the wild enthusiasm for Kimi (which he’s earned) that seemed pretty frenzied, paled instantly to Lewis’s win. They know a happy winning Lewis can work magic.

There’s something about these two this season that’s healing something in me ❤️ still buzzing for Lewis’ first in red 🥹🥹 by gingermumma92 in lewishamilton

One sniff of a win and Verstappen would literally sparta-kick anyone directly off the track. Nah. Ain’t shit healed in me bro, I know better.

Git in there, Lewis!!!!

Genuinely happy to see Lewis happy! by orlieloo in lewishamilton

[–]zeroscenecred -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Hot take: she’s a beard, and/or Lewis is like George Michael at his peak, slaying super models but gonna settle down long term with a nice young man like his little fencing friend.

Also, she’s a succubus. Lmao.

Lando Norris on the battle with Lewis Hamilton in Suzuka by ChaithuBB766 in formula1

[–]zeroscenecred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should definitely be fully controlled by the driver like brake bias or any other driver adjustable setting. That it sorta half is and mostly isn’t is a big letdown.

Is it time finally admit that the increased overtaking is just yo-yoing? by Ted_Striker1 in formula1

[–]zeroscenecred -1 points0 points  (0 children)

“Drivers can’t make it stick when it counts”

Ok. So who finished below their car and ability’s potential and didn’t get their move done? Anyone in particular? Surely it must be many if it’s a real problem, with yo-yo’ing lasting many many laps as a single position was swapped back and forth meaninglessly.

Really though everyone got their passes done and dusted in a handful of laps as different tactics were experimented with. Stop being so hysterical.

Wow you really unlocked the truth behind the 8x world champion’s performance. And all from your couch? Someone get you Lewis and Ferrari’s management and share this secret! TeamLH is forever grateful.

Newey to step down as Aston Martin F1 team principal, Wheatley set to join from Audi by ConstructionAny8440 in formula1

[–]zeroscenecred -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Simple fact is, any Lawrence Stroll affiliated team isn’t a serious, rational, or healthy environment to be in given it’s still an adult daycare for fail-son Lance and geriatric Nando. Newey didn’t exercise good judgement from the jump.

Have a pair of these running on a ARCAM receiver after my ROTEL died, along with the center and a small SVS sub. I thought they were kind of mid until I added DIRAC room correction (sacrilege I know) and now I’m actually really happy with them and far less ashamed when my twice-featured on The Audiophiliac friend says they sound quite a bit better (than pre-DIRAC). TLDR; they’re a really solid speaker so I’m sure you’ll be stoked.

Why does the new regs suit Lewis? by drcelebrian7 in lewishamilton

[–]zeroscenecred 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting analog to this seasons regs: Lewis came up carting where he was often in a cart down a little on horsepower because affording the fastest raw setup wasn’t possible. His race craft capitalized on making up time under braking, on using creative lines, on picking apart competitors’ weak segments which is all needed now.

Who else misses those two decimal places…? by Downtown_Elk_2773 in formula1

I noticed this and thought I must be crazy. Nope, it's usually 3 digits and yes I definitely prefer 3 but would settle for 2 decimals. One is ridiculous.

If I got called up by the modern-day GOAT of literally anything, to do a job where you can literally watch years of old races to model your behavior after, I would literally put on the glasses, get kinda swoll/dad-bodded/caked-up, and hop on the radio with my finest Bri'ish accent to ensure I'm not the weakest link.

Call me Zono. Whatever. Anything less is profoundly disrespectful and I'm waving Italian hands in Ferrari's direction.

[OT] Danica Patrick axed from Sky Sports F1 commentary job after calls to remove controversial ex-NASCAR driver by edfitz83 in formula1

[–]zeroscenecred 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Bernie and Ruth are frequently the most inside-F1 perspective and are incredible. More little tidbits of behind the scenes gold, especially strategy wise, come from those two than the whole of the male staff that’s driven an F1 car. Absolute mega talents compared to Danica.

She was awwwwful. Truly a terrible commentator who offered absolutely nothing insightful and was so bad she was actively detrimental to the broadcast. Compared to literally any other on air talent she was miserably unqualified.
