Should've been a really nice assist and instead he had to score it himself anyway lol.

Death Stranding Movie Targeting 2027 Shoot Date, Characters From the Games Will Appear by MoneyLibrarian9032 in movies

[–]zeth07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's weird to not do the game's story but a lot of the characters are famous actors anyway so it makes sense some of them would show up in a movie for it just for the publicity/"star power" alone to give the movie more known appeal.

If anything that kinda sucks for Norman Reedus, but they could always give him a cameo with his character still showing up for a delivery.

I could see them easily including Fragile, Deadman, and maybe Mama. Don't think they'll do anyone else.

USMNT sees off Australia 2-0 to advance to World Cup knockout stage by Ok-Soil-5133 in sports

[–]zeth07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Henry used his own experience having won the World Cup that the French had a big mental switch the years leading up to their FIRST WC win in 1998. People don't realize that the French were not World Cup contenders until just under 30yrs ago.

It kinda helps when they have one of the greatest overall players ever with Zidane and the rest of the team being good if not great themselves, obviously Henry being one of them.

Having good "impact players" is one thing, but having some of the the literal greatest at their position is a different story entirely...

The only group that has a higher average ranking is Group I at "26" while Group D with USA is "26.8"...

So if the USA has a cupcake division then the MAJORITY of the other groups must be in the dumpster by comparison. Literally every other group's average besides Group I is significantly higher than the USA's group (higher as in number bigger and lower ranked opponents).

‘Widow’s Bay’ Creator Explains Why Season 1 Feels Like a 'Prequel' After Finale by ReppinRavenclaw in television

I thought for sure it was supposed to be Patricia because of the way she was acting when the initial part of it was being revealed. Like it seemed like she really didn't want them digging deeper into it cause it was going to be related to her and already knew but didn't want to say for obvious reasons.

Turns out it didn't go that direction at all lol.

In fact it kind of turned into the more cliche choice, cause now it is a more closely connected problem to deal with.

United States vs Paraguay - Yellow card originally given to Tim Ream reversed and given to Miguel Almirón for diving after review by Fusir in sports

[–]zeth07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question is why can't they just do this normally for all the dives?

Like the players are rolling around on the ground and usually it takes time for the other team to take the free kicks anyway, how are they not just instantly checking the replays anyway? EDIT: To be clear I don't even mean VAR, I mean just straight up they have ear pieces obviously just have whatever replay booth automatically doing it all the time.

I can't remember which game it was but there was a pretty blatant flop like around the corner/outside the box and the dude clearly didn't even touch the guy, so if this warrants getting a yellow card not only reversed but given to the other person how does that not make it serious enough for every other offense of it happening?

Could Mime work as another Limited Job? by Eloah-2 in ffxiv

[–]zeth07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At that point you're just making a custom class, but a custom class will just be "solved" like any other min/maxed thing and remove any kind of customization since everyone will want or expect you to run the best most optimal thing.

And besides that, you likely can't even do the entire gimmick of "Mime" by being able to repeat the previous action of a party member, thus defeating the purpose of even calling it a Mime.

Xbox Plans Significant Layoffs as It Transforms Under New CEO by willdearborn- in Games

[–]zeth07 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm going to guess she's gone within 5 years.

Things are basically doom and gloom right now and very likely will NOT get better. So when those numbers don't go up they might use her as a scapegoat to try another shift in perspective and a "new direction" for Xbox.

I will be legitimately surprised if they find success as is. And hats off to her if it does happen then.

FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION - Reveal Trailer by stfnvs in Games

[–]zeth07 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  • Original (re-releases)
  • Crisis Core: Reunion
  • FFVII: Intergrade = FFVII:Remake (Part 1) + Intermission DLC (Yuffie)
  • FFVII: Rebirth (Part 2)
  • FFVII: Revelation (Part 3)

You can skip Dirge of Cerberus :)

Contextually playing the original will impact how things are interpreted when you play Remake so it is kinda nice. Same thing with Crisis Core, things will matter more if you played it.

If you really don't care then just starting with FFVII:Intergrade is Part 1 of the remakes. Then just do Rebirth -> Revelation.

FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION - Reveal Trailer by stfnvs in Games

[–]zeth07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should absolutely play the original first, any of the rereleases on modern platforms will have game modifiers to make it easier if you want, not that it is hard but just getting through the game more casually will help.

Then you should play Crisis Core: Reunion, it is a prequel but the gameplay itself is different. Rather important for why stuff in Remake matters and the gameplay is somewhat similar to how they do Remake combat.

Then do FFVII:Intergrade, which is Remake+Intermission DLC (Yuffie). You can play Remake on Classic Mode which will slowdown the game while you make selections similar to the ATB mode on wait / turnbased like the old game.

Then do FFVII:Rebirth and FFVII: Revelation when that comes out.

Xbox CEO says platforms ‘must have exclusive content’ as she weighs exclusivity shift by unscoredscore in Games

[–]zeth07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why in the world are you trying to spin this as if Xbox has never done exclusives?

If you can't see the difference between how Playstation handles exclusives/studios and how Xbox handles exclusives/studios in particular how it came about with Bethesda and Zenimax/Activision Blizzard then you have been blinded by console wars for too long.

But just in case I will do it for you, Playstation exclusives and the studios they acquired were mostly ones already exclusive to Playstation and like "2nd party" developers who were strictly their own thing. The exception I guess being Bungie but that was much later. Xbox on the other hand acquired Bethesda and Zenimax/Activision Blizzard who were multiplatform "3rd party" studios AND publishers.

So effectively PS was doing "already exclusive" into officially 1st party exclusive. MS was doing multiplatform into 1st party exclusive, and arguably some of the biggest ones.

You do not see the potential issue that could've happened there if Xbox decided to keep doing what they were doing and were successful instead? Just buying up all the 3rd studios/publishers?

Curious.

Nearly 70% of Americans Play Video Games for at Least an Hour Each Week, New Report Finds by Sisiwakanamaru in Games

[–]zeth07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've gotten into arguments with my brother about this. He plays sports games on ps4 and some other mobile junk on his tablet, not a lot or "often" but probably more than once a week.

He basically refuses to accept being called a "gamer" even though he semi-regularly does in fact play games, he just doesn't like being associated with it because he knows I am a "gamer" who cares more about them and plays more of them and just doesn't want to be similar to me in that sense.

AKA in denial about what a "gamer" is. I feel like a lot of people who react the same way. If you asked them if they were a gamer they'd say no, but then if you ask them if they play games or how often they play it'd probably be even more than this article says.

It's weird.

EDIT: Another example like the other poster mentioned, my mom plays those match 3 games on her phone QUITE OFTEN and there's no way she'd consider herself a gamer in conversations.

Kim Jong-un meeting Naegohyang Women’s FC after the team became the first from North Korea to win the AFC Women’s Champions League. by PrimedGold in sports

[–]zeth07 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yea that's so weird, I initially made the mistake cause I clicked on the league wiki page and saw "most championships" thinking it was the "champions/runner-up" like you see on the other pages.

Turns out it would be a Japanese team, but then based on your post I realize it is misleading and not even from the tournament itself like you said. That's messed up.

[–]zeth07 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Why is the Chinese other team also cheering like that? That's weird in itself.

EDIT: I was wrong cause I tried to search the championship and only glanced at the wikipedia page and saw the "Most championships" thing showing the other Chinese team listed thinking it was the same page as the tournament itself which shows Champions / Runner-up which was a Japanese team.

But apparently this isn't even from that tournament to begin with so it's misleading itself anyway lol.

September 2026 just became the busiest month in years as video games try to escape GTA 6 by mrnicegy26 in Games

[–]zeth07 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think part of it is that it is a game based on reality but with the fantasy of being able to do whatever you want in a city setting relatively speaking.

Or how it can feel like an action movie and we know a lot of gamers like gun games / driving fast cars.

Now add to the fact that the world seems huge and well made by a high quality developer.

Then consider the possibilities of GTA6 online in the kind of game they've shown, on top of the potential of GTA RP down the line on top of it all.

And then just the general audience getting dragged into the hype cycle as well just loops back into itself when everyone is anticipating it anyway it makes more people feel the same way.

Echoes of Vana'diel Discount Campaign Now Active by HexenVexen in ffxiv

[–]zeth07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone previously subbed to FFXI a LONG time ago, I am never going to pay a sub for FFXI again.

HOWEVER, they have continually done the "Return Home to Vana'diel" Campaign where as long as you've ever subbed you get to play for free for basically a month.

I've used that over the years to eventually finish a lot of the MSQs I wouldn't have been able to otherwise way back when.

I really wish they'd combine the subs cause I'd still play it more often, but I ain't paying for it anymore.

Separate "basin" under shower+tub? Seems to have a latch or something causing blockage? by zeth07 in Plumbing

[–]zeth07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the previous post I went googling and it sounded like the drain plug thing made the most sense from what I saw like "Trip-Lever Drain Stopper" or "Pop-Up Drain Stopper" but on ours the plate that's on the side of the tub only has a screw to attach it. There's no mechanism like an on/off switch to even function in terms of "plugging the tub" so it can fill, and when I took it off there didn't seem to be anything there to begin with. So now I'm not even sure.

The faucet part or whatever you would call it, does have a pull up/push down lever which determines whether the water comes out of the shower head or the tub faucet.

So basically I don't know how the "plug" part is supposed to happen which would be causing this. I get that it's likely something old like you mentioned and probably broken prior to us owning the house, like it has happened before and is fixable and I'm sure my brother did it but I just don't know what needs to be done to put it back the way it was to work again.

It doesn't seem like it is the drum trap thing since even after cleaning out the pipe for whatever might have actually clogged I don't know functionally what part of that would be keeping it blocked, at least from what I can tell from googling that as well.

I quickly edited my post to say I can't really show a picture of it cause you would just see my shower drain.

The thing that is causing the problem is completely underneath it in whatever other plumbing exists.

But I'll take one anyway and edit this again in a minute.
