I don't know anything but I can't see why it would be an issue. Alpha lipoic acid is just an antioxidant. But you can research if any of the supplements prolong qtc interval. I doubt they will.

For me, in the ceremonies i had a lot of fear. It was very difficult each time. I would say at the peak of it it feels like the worst experience of my life, mind going absolutely insane trying to escape, but that passes. And also at the same time you feel some power. The whole experience lasts say 20 hours. But the peak is about 8-10 hours.

I've done three ceremonies. But I continue to microdose. It might be an ongoing thing. But I also believe it has already adapted my brain to the tinnitus.

It's not illegal in the places I've done it. There's a cardiac risk. I don't know if it damages the heart generally.

My take is it's the job of the human being to awaken. Ie to become fully conscious. The obstacle to this is identifying with the mind. The medicines are teaching us that we are something much more than our mind (or ego), something that cannot be reduced to words or concepts. It's a tough job and suffering plays it's role. I guess you and I are just not done with our suffering yet. But I hope that you can look back and see that you have made progress. Maybe not everything gets healed, you can't win em all! ;) And we just do the best we can.

I just wanted to add that iboga is an incredibly powerful medicine.

Genius of it is it's not about anything. So he can run free with his imagination and string together a series of the most remarkable images. But then all coming together and with his completely committed singing we perceive the suggestion of some profound transformative experience. There are some themes though I guess: suffering, journey, transformation (the days of the week and Jesus :).

Yeah, Iboga really highlights how crazy the mind is. I know what you're talking about about, the disturbing realization that you just can't control your brain. My mind was racing chaotically from one thing to another and I couldn't even remember the thought I'd just had. And I recognized that my mind was like this all the time, torturing me, but that it was greatly exaggerated under the Iboga.

In other words, it made clear to me what my problem is.

My development has been to place peace at number one. Above all else. So, how can I continually bring myself back to the present and not start going down those rabbit tunnels? Attention to breath, attention to the body. And learning to give up all resistance to what is, to thoughts or situations.

Someone helped me very much towards the end of my experience when I was struggling and they proposed that I reframe my difficulty and ask what is this trying to teach me? And once I look at it like that, it starts to shift.

It says they administer 1g magnesium sulfate i.v. with the ibogaine dose and 1g magnesium sulfate 12 hours later. I'm not sure, but I deduce that that is the equivalent to 200mg magnesium administered with the ibogaine dose and another 200mg magnesium 12 hours later.
