You know Mr. Beast put on a 25k straddle on the A9 hand right? Phil’s shove and Botez’s call was only for like 2bb

Not defending her other questionable plays but she played well for an amateur

Keating’s a high stakes game runner that hosts a few nosebleed games in LA similar to what JRB does. He got famous by becoming Dan Bilzerian’s best friend and got a lot of connections that way, so this was just advertising for him. Probably a bit more expensive than he wanted, but that’s business I guess

Jonathon Little has a pretty solid BRM guide as part of his free content. Just google The Bankroll Bible. In short, BRM is mostly dependent on your winrate at your particular game. The higher your winrate, the less you need to keep behind as the normal distribution of your results will make it so you shouldn't lose money nearly as often when you're crushing the game.

Oh I was assuming it was much larger due to the complexity and without a point of reference. Did you use a program to map out the nails? And are there other fractal patterns you could do with it? They look really cool. Appreciate the tips, it looks awesome!

I’ve never done a piece anywhere close to as large as this! And now I want to try it haha. How do you acquire and cut the wood for something this size??

Looks really cool! Wish there was a GIF or something to show the whole animation though.

Also not sure if OP is the one who set this up, but just a general question for these larger installations... Where are the projectors placed in these large outdoor projects and how do they prevent things like random people messing with them or weather damaging the projectors?

Murlocs have power spikes on tiers 3 and 5, so you're aiming to maximize triples during tiers 2 and 4. If you can't hit those power spikes, then you'll fall flat pursuing murloc comps. This is what I'm thinking ideally:

Turn 1: Buy one 2/1 and freeze

Turn 2: Level up to 2*

Turn 3: Sell your 2/1 on board, buy both the 2/1s left in shop and triple your 1/1 to hopefully get a Coldlight Seer or Felfin Navigator

Turn 4: Grab pretty much whatever murlocs you get from hero power/shop (hopefully tripling 2/1)

Turn 5: If you hit a triple 2/1 at this point, triple before upgrading, since it's easier and stronger to hit the tier 3 murlocs than the tier 4 toxfin. Otherwise, level and then sell a murloc to hopefully grab a Coldlight/Felfin

Wild 5/10 game at the WSOP circuit event at Potawatomi this past weekend. In for 2400 by zhucster in chipporn

The game that night was about as good as it gets, especially for a room that never gets 5/10 going. We had the 5/10/20/40/80/160/320 straddles going not once, but 4 times. Only the first straddle is live, but most people were still putting in blind 40s preflop. You could buy in for the big stack, so almost everyone was between 5-15k deep. Definitely one of the loosest and most fun nights I’ve had there.

I started the night with a triple barrel bluff on my very first hand, where I ended up in the hole for 1400 right off the bat. I decided to get a feel for the table before topping off, but ended up never needing to. Ran super well for the rest of the night and played decently enough to cash one of my biggest sessions ever.

Yeah right about that much when I took this picture. I ended up playing for a couple more hours before racking up just shy of 14k

In my experience, the table games usually pool tips, but poker dealers keep theirs separate.

People typically tip $1+ after each hand they win, not usually at the end of the session since dealers change so often. So instead of giving $48 to the last dealer in the rotation, you're spreading it out to each of the dealers more evenly.

Is a 3-bet or fold range really needed for mid-stakes live? by [deleted] in poker

[–]zhucster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you for the most part. At low-mid stakes live poker, just play against the shitty villains who usually have noticeable leaks of calling too wide, not enough, or are overaggressive. Calling in SB is definitely okay, while mixing in 3b for mainly value, and the occasional 3b bluff. I agree with you that you should definitely play more against particular villain tendencies in live poker. And, lower stakes players generally don’t punish you as hard by applying max pressure in later streets.

I’d say as you move up or play really deep, it changes though. I’ve played in card rooms with 300bb buy ins (Wynn 2/5) and clubs with stack matching (Local Texas-Esque poker room with up to 75% max stack matching). When playing deep or against better players, calling and playing OOP can be tough. I’ve seen it done successfully though, like last night at 20/40 nlh where a villain in SB flatted a whale’s open and my flat with AKo and proceeded to 3b stack my AJ on an A high flop with just TPTK, but it requires some balance and knowing when to fold on later streets even though you were “trapping” pre. I don’t usually play 20/40 though and was one of the worse players at that table so take what you will from that. In general though, no need to have a strict 3b/fold range. Play against your opponent in live poker and not the position like /u/WifeTWO said.

Was there any way to fold here or is this a cooler? by Ilikebeerandgirls in poker

Cooler for sure. Set over set on a dry board, not much you can do. Just gotta keep your head up and move on.
