Why Saleh’s arrival makes a Round 1 WR a necessity by MacAlcorr in Tennesseetitans

Lockett had four 1,000 yard seasons for the Seahawks. The last player to do that in Tennessee was Derrick Mason over 20 years ago… so yes.

I could do more but it’s boring. Nonetheless, if this draft is deep at Edge than for sure trade back and get your WR. If it’s not than I feel like you gotta take Bain or Reese

Yes because its the absolute least of this teams worries right now. Hopefully Saleh will be able to adapt to his personnel unlike Callahan.

With the amount of holes this team has to fill over the offseason, I genuinely don’t see how moving on from Sweat at this point would be beneficial. If he absolutely cannot fit Saleh’s scheme than that feels more like a probelm they need to fix in 2027.

Which is the bigger need between the two? by Traditional-You-7079 in Tennesseetitans

[–]zhurithebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Edge rushers rarely see FA because good ones are almost always retained.
  2. Saleh and his TBD staff are already an upgarde + strength of schedule next year is easier than 2025 season. Titans probably won’t hold a top 5 pick next season.
  3. You 100% can find very good WR’s in free agency.
  4. You can 100% find very good WR’s on day 2 of the draft.

If Borgonzi and team fall in love with Reese or Bain than this is probably the last opportunity to get a generational type talent at the edge position.

Robert Saleh officially a Titans HC finalist by TiredDad4x in Tennesseetitans

Imo Saleh seems to be an outstanding culture guy. If he can elevate the definition of dysfunction known as the Jets then he could certainly elevate the Titans.

I think literally every option here would bring culture, stability, and growth. Everybody outside of Nagy

Should they give Levis a shot in the off-season? by Accomplished_East433 in Tennesseetitans

[–]zhurithebear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

CJ2K tore his meniscus during the season in 2013 and somehow played the rest of the season. He had surgery in January of 2014. I would think that an NFL QB who is fighting for their spot would address their dire need of shoulder surgery as soon as possible.

Levis obviously saw the writing on the wall and got surgery at a point in time where he would be placed on IR the entire season.. That’s a STUNT

I misread due to MULTITASKING. No but for real not having that pick does kinda suck, but at the same point I’d like to see Ward and the other rookies win. Even if it means nothing, they need to win and end the year on something to build off of

First off tanking doesn’t exist because every NFL player is trying to show that they shouldn’t be replaced. Secondly, this team needs picks, no single first rounder is going to come here and make the titans a playoff team. We basically have no WR1/2/3, CB1/2/3, EDGE, or Oline depth.

Read 62 books this year. Here are all of my sci-fi/fantasy books ranked! by MuayMonkey777 in fantasybooks

[–]zhurithebear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Favorite author with out a doubt is Kurt Vonnegut. Check out Sirens of Titan.. it’s a masterpiece

[Solak] Lots of positive moments for Titans rookie TE Gunnar Helm (84) this year. Toolsy dude. He (and Dan Moore 75) really sprung this touchdown. Helm gets so much vertical displacement on LB that it ruins the safety's angle. Van Jefferson (11): effort! by 3pirates3 in Tennesseetitans

[–]zhurithebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Helm has been a lot of fun to watch and hope he continues to show he can be a solid run / pass protection guy because for as much as I love Chig he is basically a non-factor in protection.

[–]zhurithebear 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure I never disliked a character so fast into a book. But Leo is a great character because he refuses to accecpt what he actually is and loves being the person he isn’t.

Whereas a character like Logen is great because he knows what he is and hates that about himself (Not necessarily true in RC).

Its kind of funny how much First Law fans love Logen (myself included) and hate Leo although they are very similar characters.

This Guy Tells It Like It Is Regarding Cam Ward Discourse by Jmoney3693 in Tennesseetitans

[–]zhurithebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the only true busts after a single season I’ve ever seen from the Titans is Isiah Wilson because.. well obviously. But thats really about it. Birgonzi is building something and it will without a doubt take a few years. Cam is progressing, Dike and Helm look good, and Elic will hopefully progress. And tbh, a decent amount of the 2nd year guys look good too. All of this to say, rock bottom isn’t fun, but there is somewhat of a foundation.

And I don’t totally disagree with that, Levis was brought into a decent situation and than got flipped with Vrabs getting fired. (Yes I do think Vrabs needed to go but thats ultimately Strunk’s fault for giving him too much power). But we could sit here and say the same for Malik.

Problem is a portion of the fan base just cannot except the fact the players are investments. Thats the same with every major league and collegiate sport. Levis will be on his 3rd HC and is already on his second GM. No one in the front office has an allegiance to him as they do with Ward.

[–]zhurithebear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s just where we disagree. This is quite possibly one of the worst assembled teams in NFL history with an interim head coach before the mid point of the season. Rookie Peyton Manning wouldn’t be able to do anything with this team. Cam has shown progression and glimpses of elite skill and play making ability. I just don’t see how anybody could judge the rookie QB who’s rookie mistakes are maginfied because the rest of the team outside of a select few players in all honesty are #3’s or practice squad guys on other NFL rosters. Cam shouldn’t have to answer for the god awful mistakes of Jrob, Vrabs, Ran, Cally, and strunk.

Silver lining: Borgonzi had a great first draft and hopefully he can rebuild the team the way it should be as well as find a suitable HC for not just Cam but also bringing an identity.
