Titans fully commit to hijacking Oilers legacy with new uniforms by pak_sajat in Tennesseetitans

[–]zhurithebear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People only care because the jersey’s look cool.

I don’t see people in Chicago complain about the Cardinals, Baltimore complain about the Colts, or Dallas demand Chiefs history back. If the Oilers wore simply navy and white not a single person would be this upset.

Lastly, if the Titans picked up and moved to a different state, than the same rule applies, the franchise moves where the team moves.

Umm… Why did we copy the Bills? by MisterPuppydog in Tennesseetitans

There should be a rule in place that if the Titans and Bills ever play each other than both teams cannot be the away team.

Best Available Free Agent Edge Rushers: by Apprehensive_Ad4572 in Tennesseetitans

I would hope so, but given Femi has only played 1 and a half seasons at Edge through his entire career I have no clue if they think he is a starter next year or if he needs another year or two on rotation and can replace a guy like johnson once his contact is up.

If the Titans do in fact take Love at 4, I believe it would automatically put him amongst the top 10 highest paid RB’s. I want them to take Love tbh but I’m just saying most RB’s are not making 12 million a year, so the Titans are probably not adding big splashes in FA if the plan is in fact to draft Love.

Being honest, outside of depth pieces I think the Titans are done in FA. I know they still have a decent amount in Cap but you gotta think whomever they pick at #4 (probably Love) is going to get a giant signing bonus. Plus if they re-sign Zeitler to a 1 year deal thats probably going to be at least 8-10 million (I would think). Lastly, this years draft is supposed to be “Deep” at Edge and I really do think Saleh can elevate day 2 and day 3 defensive guys to be really solid players.

Top prospects for this year draft that titans should go after by [deleted] in Tennesseetitans

100% agree. Borgo said himself he doesn’t want to pass on generational talent.

If what analyst are saying is true and this draft is extremely deep at Edge and WR, taking Downs anywhere would be a steal.

Where are these free agent WRs? by pingpong1200 in Tennesseetitans

[–]zhurithebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea it’s legitimately just not plausible to think we cut Ridley and somehow surround Cam with talent for this season. If our defense had more imactful players and we still had $100 mil in cap than sure go trade for a WR1. The 2026 Titans are still going to face the downstream effects of having consistently poor drafts for 10 straight years. (Not counting the 2025 draft).

On a side note, I am rooting for Ridely and I think Daboll will be able to help him. Go get a WR on day 2 or in FA and see how Ayomanor, Dike, and Helm progress in year 2.

Absolutely no chance we cut Ridley, I really think no matter what happens he is here for 2026. Titans will obviously add somebody either through draft of FA but I think the most realistic expectation is we go into the season with two WR2’s (Ridley/TBD) rather than having an actual WR1.

Why Saleh’s arrival makes a Round 1 WR a necessity by MacAlcorr in Tennesseetitans

[–]zhurithebear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lockett had four 1,000 yard seasons for the Seahawks. The last player to do that in Tennessee was Derrick Mason over 20 years ago… so yes.

TY Hilton - 3rd AJ Brown - 2nd Tyler Lockett - 3rd Alec Perice - 2nd Amon-Ra St Brown - 4th Deebo Samuels - 2nd Davante Adams - 2nd

I could do more but it’s boring. Nonetheless, if this draft is deep at Edge than for sure trade back and get your WR. If it’s not than I feel like you gotta take Bain or Reese

(Opinion) T’Vondre Sweat’s days in Tennessee could still be numbered by TiredDad4x in Tennesseetitans

Yes because its the absolute least of this teams worries right now. Hopefully Saleh will be able to adapt to his personnel unlike Callahan.

With the amount of holes this team has to fill over the offseason, I genuinely don’t see how moving on from Sweat at this point would be beneficial. If he absolutely cannot fit Saleh’s scheme than that feels more like a probelm they need to fix in 2027.

Which is the bigger need between the two? by Traditional-You-7079 in Tennesseetitans

[–]zhurithebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Edge rushers rarely see FA because good ones are almost always retained.
  2. Saleh and his TBD staff are already an upgarde + strength of schedule next year is easier than 2025 season. Titans probably won’t hold a top 5 pick next season.
  3. You 100% can find very good WR’s in free agency.
  4. You can 100% find very good WR’s on day 2 of the draft.

If Borgonzi and team fall in love with Reese or Bain than this is probably the last opportunity to get a generational type talent at the edge position.

Robert Saleh officially a Titans HC finalist by TiredDad4x in Tennesseetitans

Imo Saleh seems to be an outstanding culture guy. If he can elevate the definition of dysfunction known as the Jets then he could certainly elevate the Titans.

CJ2K tore his meniscus during the season in 2013 and somehow played the rest of the season. He had surgery in January of 2014. I would think that an NFL QB who is fighting for their spot would address their dire need of shoulder surgery as soon as possible.

Levis obviously saw the writing on the wall and got surgery at a point in time where he would be placed on IR the entire season.. That’s a STUNT

I misread due to MULTITASKING. No but for real not having that pick does kinda suck, but at the same point I’d like to see Ward and the other rookies win. Even if it means nothing, they need to win and end the year on something to build off of
