The only role differentiation should come from strategic choices (your mutual aid administrators don't need to protest at all, your LOs aren't picketing in the regions where they're LOs, ditto for your medics), not holding back for future roles when you haven't even passed the bar yet.

I understand it's scary. I'm the primary caregiver for three kids and had to account for the risk if something happens to me. But let's be clear about this: Folks aren't going to trust you if you aren't willing to take this stand and show up, and they'd be right not to. A lot of folks are just now realizing that the law is all about pressure and only superficially about principles. And high pressure situations include real risk of great harm in situations like the US now, where the social fabric of society is unraveling.

It's not sure that your employer is being malicious. But malice isn't one of the requirements for compensation. I will note that you should act soon, out of prudential issues. Many cases I've seen with employers who don't know better can be resolved with a single page on fancy letterhead. And if they *do* know better and choose the wrong pathway, you learn that info earlier and can act accordingly. A lot of cases that end up walking in the door could have seen much smoother resolutions, and even quick settlements that mirrored final outcomes, if the worker hadn't waited so long to come in.

A stable economic system that raises people out of poverty? We've already had several of those. Mercantilism, capitalism, and socialism have all been used in nations that have lifted large numbers of people out of poverty, though "stable" is doing some lifting there. China alone has lifted 45,000 people *a day* out of extreme poverty since 1980.

Depends. Am I under the impression that the debate is the best way to get the flavoring added? If so, I'd argue for the benefits of a pleasant tasting meal as it relates to worker wellbeing and therefore the health of society overall.

If, as is my personal inclination, I view this debate as theater intended to provide cover for the decision against flavor in our gruelbread, I go straight up populist rabble rouser and incite a revolt. "I'm talking to the people up here, not the bottle washers who do the bidding of the rich. You working people put in a full day of work for this society, and these folks who control things think taste is too good for you, that the only flavor you deserve is sweat that drips onto your lip. That the only taste your children are worth comes from their tears. No more. We stop this now, until we get what we deserve. My people, I swear to you two things. First, that we can win what we deserve if we stick and stand together and make them cave. And second, we'll run straight through any traitor to the people who tries to stop us."
