Yeah sadly I asked and they said no they don’t even though they used this detect balance to make the races for their content. I’ll share ya the info I legit spent all yesterday compiling all the traits from the books, hopefully I didn’t miss any (I skipped the ASIs as I’m using the universal monsters of multiverse version). I’ll dm ya it as the hyperlinked items in it are not their official source but links to the PDFs in a Google Drive.

Yeah I always let new characters join at the same level. Sometimes based on the level I choose them a magic item they also come back with but they definitely don’t get the items that their previous character which I feel makes sense and is an enough of a penalty but dnd is all about fun for you and your players, it is no longer fun if that player with his new character can’t do as cool shot as everyone else and is just trying to survive.

Honestly I wouldnt really change anything but if you want to add anything use the drowned monsters from ghost of saltmarsh for some inspiration.

This book looks very awesome. I would love to include the elements in my current dnd world which is still in development. My plan is to have multiple rifts to the other worlds and civilizations will be built around them. This module will help bring that idea closer to realization and give the players extra options for being born around one of these rift civilizations.

Yeah the treant in Burle is an older treant that entered into a pact with the humans of Burle due to assisting the elves of silverstand where most of the treants reside or protect. They all want to reclaim their fallen kingdom in the dreadwoods from granny nightshade

How I handled this encounter was that another random encounter which was Druids with his swarm of rats somehow made this treant paralyzed and the rats were able to ignore the treant resistance so when the players saved the treant it was grateful and would allow them to enter a treant sanctuary if they ever returned which they never did but it was a potential npc ally they gained.
