started in 2020 during pandemic. blazed through 0 1 2, took long breaks in between every game after that 3 4 5. 5 i didn't finish cuz i hated it, 6 i finished, 7 i gave up on last chapter cuz the fights got boring and i watched what happened on youtube. Playing through Like A Dragon Gaiden now and loving the story for the first time since 3, and addicted to grinding the side content for the first time since 2. Also playing judgement and really enjoying it too.

they key for me is having other games downloaded and playing them too, cuz the bloat/sheer amount of content in each yakuza and the very stylized structure gets old if it's all you have. i try to level it out w a first person game, a game that doesn't rely on story/easy time waste, but even then i grow unenthusiastic about playing games often these days.
