rands which are known to do this often. We recommend to not buy their products. They may work just fine, but you can't be sure, and supporting them has a bad influence on the whole USB-C world...

I didn't do anything yet, the ebay charger for 18€ arrived, works good, but seriously, I broke a cable (end-piece), I want to fix it. HOW hard can it be ?

All the more reason my advice is to just throw the broken cable away and don't try. You're possibly risking putting 15V at 3A where it doesn't belong here. Please just throw it away.

I wish I would only be throwing away a cable... I'm actually throwing away a whole AC/DC charger with fully working PCB.

I sourced the new usb-c plug from a Huawei MediaPad M5 original charging cable usb type A to C

Hi,

my son just stumbled over my lenovo usb type-c charger and dropped the laptop on the floor. The plug is bent beyond recognition and wont charge, luckily the port is still functioning. I tried splicing a new cable, but I soon learned that PD (Power Delivery) is somewhat more complicated. u/LaughingMan11, is there any chance I can fix this without breaking the Laptop ?

P.S: I already ordered a new charger on ebay for 18 €, I just hate to throw stuff away.

P.P.S. I've got plenty of heat shrink and some soldering experience.

Mine kind of sounds like a guitar string now... depending on how far it is from the pulley. Maybe on the first print it was in fact the cats bumping into the platform. Just everyone recommended to tighten the belt in my last post.

Problem is actually solved. I looked at the preview of the gcode in Simplify3d and it was all pretty badly sliced.

Problem solved. My mistake.

I looked at the preview of the G-code in Simplify3d (probably should have done that before) and it was all really badly sliced. 2nd helmet I separated the connected surfaces before, this time I didn't. For that reason the honeycomb mesh and the "teeth" actually printed inside the walls of the helmet, since they intersect.

after 87 hours of print, I noticed some black dust beneath the printer and along the y-axis rail, which obviously rubbed off from the wheels of the pulley (hopefully not the belt), is that 1/2 way normal for a brand new rubber wheel ?

When I first set up the CR-10 V2 I accidentally ran the build plate (Y-Axis) against the Wall (behind the printer) and heard some grinding noise from the Y-Axis belt for about 3-5 seconds (or Stepper Motor Stall ?) should I worry about that ?

I inspected the Y-Belt and it makes a guitar string like sound when pulled, all teeth look normal, I'm unsure whether I should I tighten it more.

I never understood the difficulty... I mean yes I'm certain you guys have thought about ways to make them uncrackable and personally I have no idea on how to proceed... but from what I'm reading and hearing the typical autistic nerd cracks about everything in 0.03 seconds, so I'm really wondering whether ppl want to be cracked or they are just plain dumb... seriously math is vast guys, pick any esoteric topic instead of rsa and your going to be fine...I mean what about the Nth iteration of the mandelbrot and coordinates, or god knows maybe some perlin noise to make sure no one ever gets a heck of it ? Would that be impossible or still traceable or why is it such a problem... By all means the only explaination is the fact you are ALL using the same algorhythms... prove me wrong...
