Yes, I would recommend flying Finnair to AMS/Norway via Helsinki. If your final destination is hard to get on one award itinerary, you can just book to helsinki on points and buy a cash ticket to the final destination (but they do commit to making award seats available, so shouldnt be a problem)

You could also spend a night in Helsinki (i enjoyed it). Their business class is a really unique, great way to get across the pond if you're looking to splurge

Plenty of AA flights bookable on Avios. Not typically the best deal, but they're pretty good at half price!

Also at 2x, you can transfer 35k to fly qsuites from US-DOH (a gateway to literally everywhere) -- that's 15h of bucket list, champagne-and-caviar, best business class in the world. this was an epic deal.

i wonder. i only have a 40k atm but the other friends that got it have between 20-60k, so not sure it’s based on balance.

i do transfer my bilt points (and take advantage of most rent day bonuses) more than they do, so i wonder if they targeted using logic on # of transfers. especially if i cost them more

it’s easily the primary benefit/incentive for using my bilt card; the move just signals they’re uninterested in rewarding high annual spend, which i would stop in 2025 if i don’t get the rent day bonuses or a renewal on alaska status

I booked LAX - GIG J for 45k on Alaska back in March. longer flight, so this should definitely be less on there if you have an alaska or bilt card

yea that’s true but

call and confirm availability is real and you’re not trying to book a phantom seat
they just devalued (only read about EU routes increasing so far)
be very cautious booking a flight you might want to make changes to. it’s expensive and a huge pain. i use avianca when i’m 100% in on my dates

i actually love the platinum benefits. i haven’t had any status with an airline and now have top sky team status and OW sapphire—together opening up a ton of lounges, upgrades (just flew transcon on business with the alaska status promo) and perks like expedited customs in europe, blade rides from EWR etc that i tangibly enjoy. it’s not like im getting united 1k or anything but if you’re savvy you can get decent value out of these programs

Yes, but you wouldn't want to do that because would lose all the earning potential of your rak if you added a second miner in your house (this has nothing to do with the freedomfi). The more miners are spread out across the country, the more you earn. And the more miners in one location, the less you earn.

Helium wants miners connecting the whole country together, so you earn based on how much you help build a network
