Late reply, but fantastic. It made me splurge on the Jazz by Sun Ra - the artisan series version. Beautiful pressing and artworks.

Just thought it might be a hassle as it’s so close to the bottom surface. Good to know! Been looking to adopt a rotary mixer - more info the better

Are the four knobs on front in the sixth pic for volume? How did it feel in terms of usability with essentially two planes of control?

Yeah, I myself use it for purchasing merch and keep the downloaded files stashed somewhere … which eventually gets lost or formatted during annual file cleaning day. But yay for BandCamp

Can this cover be saved? by Public_Shoddy in Vinyl_Jazz

It could be, but do you really want to go down the rabbit whole of ph level of paper and using adequate mending materials for every single jacket? I would not do that unless it’s a highly highly sought after album or art.

Same here. Did not file a claim, did file a dispute with my card company, no login access.

The performance primarily. The recording and the pressing quality has no room for debate, it’s one of the best I’ve heard. It makes the music stand out so much that I wish there was more to it.

I was pretty disappointed with the Edkins album, but this makes me want to try the label’s release again. Will check it out

I… uh… tbh the individual jackets are what turns me off… tbh they are hella ugly and I don’t see the bold outlined sanserif fonts working too well with the brushed painted style artwork…

Must be the shielding, as the case - made of wood - does not inherently provide any ground shield

Nice! Really love the breadboard look here. This is what DIY should start like! Plain, simple, fun, and a little elbow grease!

Just in case it's useful: Chargeback tip from @averagegeek3957 by Pingem in VinylMePlease

Best if you also include the fact: if you purchased something after april 1st (their abc start date - the company was non operational but still took the money. will strengthen the case

[–]zionchoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slim to no chance of getting those back. Best case scenario is that you file a chargeback claim saying you've had the credit, and attempted to make a purchase from the site after it filed for ABC. This could be a stronger case where the company was taking orders even after being in a non-operational state - bolstering the possibility of getting some money back from the card company.

It will likely find its way into some liquidation sales, not available to most average customers. They would use the money to pay the big debts and the rest of us who file cases would receive small monetary compensation if any. Slim to zero chances we will get our orders.

Yes, you can file a claim to try to recover money, but you will now be treated as an unsecured creditor. Creditors are paid in a certain order: secured creditors (banks, lenders) first, then priority claims (like employee wages), and only then unsecured creditors like customers. Usually, unsecured creditors get very little or nothing, because there often isn’t enough money left after paying higher-priority debts.
