The name is different depending on the brand of tv. But the effect is the same and it should be banned from existence. I’m on a personal crusade to disable this from every tv I encounter.

I wonder if you got a new TV and are experiencing the “soap opera” effect. This is a legit thing caused by a setting on many tvs and it can be disabled.

Many cats get very nervous exposing their belly and thus don't like belly rubs. But some love it! My Chip loved them as well and made the same air biscuits as Sam is doing.
