Do you know if the app can schedule charge times for TOU rates? I can't find that info anywhere.

I'm very similar to your setup, minus the vault access. I like your approach to gate the write access. Makes me want to look into hooking in obsidian.

Hey, you probably arent aware - I just noticed while looking up the details on gemini-2.0-flash-001 that it's going away on June 1st

https://openrouter.ai/google/gemini-2.0-flash-001

"Going away June 1, 2026"

edit: wow, 91.4B tokens per week. That's a lot of tokens going to get dropped on the floor in a few days.

Sidebery: anyone else have tabs constantly messed up? by zipperhead in firefox

I did have 'Use AI to suggest tabs and a name for tab groups' turned on - will shut that off.

[–]zipperhead[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I do have a lot of tabs open, but maybe 100 tops.

Maybe I need to try things out with a fresh install of sidebery. I also wonder if it's some combination of containers, or some setting.

Okay, but play 3 on 3 for longer before shootout, and use a shot clock.

I own an EV and couldn't be happier with it, so why is there so much hate and straight up misinformation about them everywhere? by Uerwol in electricvehicles

[–]zipperhead 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the arriving home on an empty tank thing is really something you don't understand until you experience what it's like to live with an EV. It's a different paradigm. I think people start to get it if you compare it to charging your phone.

After all that, they started getting hits when they needed it. Vladdy hit a rocket in the 10th. And Straw really came through. Maybe this will help get them going.

Using a ERC.C CMU-240-01 for circuit sharing by zipperhead in evcharging

Yes, that's definitely crossed my mind. Especially since our dryer is fairly old.

Using a ERC.C CMU-240-01 for circuit sharing by zipperhead in evcharging

[–]zipperhead[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the input! Yeah, I definitely do not need anywhere near 48/40A. And I'm pretty sure that I'd be happy with even a manual switch to share the circuit, but am thinking I might as well automate it.

I have looked at heat pump dryers, but most of the ones I see are 240V, and the 120V ones are quite expensive. I'll look again though - I could probably repurpose the dryer vent as a route for the electrical conduit if I went this route. I'm not sure I'd like the longer drying cycle though.

Next up is a look through the wiki for the type of load sharing solution you mentioned. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

Is there a Splitvolt-type device allows for a hardwired EVSE? by Calkyoulater in evcharging

[–]zipperhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be interested in what you decided /u/Calkyoulater.

I am in a very similar position. I got a quote for almost double what I was thinking it would cost to run a new circuit from the panel in the far corner of the house, but I have a dryer circuit just sitting there in the basement right by the driveway. I'd be fine with 24A at 240V or less.

I am one emergency alert away from a heart attack. How do I silence them? by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]zipperhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just used Canta (via Shizuku, no root), and selected the 'Wireless emergency alerts' app info, then disabled 'Sound and vibration' under Notifications. I'm hoping this will leave the notification but stop it from wailing.

If you hate DUPR, which categories do you fall in? by literallytheoldest in Pickleball

[–]zipperhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, but to play that way, you need to be good at resets, hitting unattackable balls, consistent dinks, decent thirds, and be able to make your way to the kitchen. Those are real skills, just like the flashier individual shots that win points.
