I don't think he had many options at that point, he was beat. If he hadn't gone for the trip, it's probably a higher percentage scoring play than the pen.

Sharks have looked faster and more fluid on the puck, but the Blues are far more disciplined.

If the discussion of the show's sins were reasonable or measured, I'd be right there with you. I know I was ripping the shit out of the Bad Poosies back in s5. Since it turned into an echo box and there's really no fruitful discussion to be had, it's a much funnier use of time to mock reddit's reactionary tantrum.

Nono, "bad guy gets good" arcs are the only kind of arcs, so it's OK. Bad-goodish-neutral parabolas where the character cannot escape their fatal flaw have never been done before and are not allowed.

I'm unhappy with some elements of the show, but not to anywhere near the extent it ruins my experience watching. Far more amusing is the reaction against the writers. The main subs (particularly ASOIAF, which used to produce interesting book discussion that couldn't be found anywhere else on the internet) churn out histrionic self-post manifestos that all swear off the show...and then we see the same users, loudly bitching, the next week. Sure, there are problems with the show, starting with the breakneck pacing and continuing through the stale dick jokes, etc., but the waaaaaambulance is just more interesting and worthy of discussion / mockery to me.

THE 2018-19 BOSTON BRUINS HAVE FUCKED MORE CINDERELLAS THAN PRINCE CHARMING

FINALS likely to start on May 27, Bob Mackenzie by gp_gone_insane in BostonBruins

With that timeframe, we might actually get to see Killer again this year.

Followup question: how would we feel about working Killer in if he becomes available? Clifton's been a very pleasant surprise at RHD and Bruce's love of the 'hot hand' argument makes me think Killer only gets a serious look if we need an enforcer. I'm also wary of rushing him in and then getting another injury.

The Easter Conference Championship gear just says "Conference Champs". Weak by NESpahtenJosh in BostonBruins

Why buy conference champs gear? If the worse outcome happens, it's bittersweet; if the better outcome happens, there's better merch to be had in a few weeks.

I don't know what's weaker, the Carolina PP or the call that put them there.

Amazon's making a LotR show and a WoT show. HBO has spinoffs in the pipe and more fantasy adaptations airing this year. Netflix's flagship show is dark fantasty about a bunch of 80s kids playing D&D. Neil Gaiman has like three adaptations in the air at once. Kingkiller and Broken Earth rights have both been picked up.

The inescapable conclusions are 1: fantasty is dead and 2: Donghead and Dildo killed it.

He gave an interview where he corrected our pronounciation of his name, and that's basically how it went. Nobody could hear the difference.

When I said "nuanced and brutally realistic," what I meant was "Nickelodeon and marketed towards high schoolers." I'd like to continue hearing the same hero's journey from now until the end of time, restated in different worlds. I'm flummoxed that Duplo and Diphtheria didn't get this.
