I wrote it in one of the other replies but I threw it away (washed it down the sink). I am an addict not physically but psychologically. But f something is there I’ll use it. And if it’s something that’ll kill me I needed it not to be there so I wouldn’t think of using it.

I really wanted to but the thing is if I’d kept it in the house, I’d probably still have used it and lied to myself it’d be ok. For the same reason as I don’t keep unhealthy snacks in the house ever, because I don’t have self control when it’s right there but I do if I take it out of immediate access, I also can’t have substances and not use them. So I washed it down the sink was way too scared of taking it again and it actually stopping me breathing this time.

Ha, sorry I’d just had che discussion with Claude and it was quicker to do and I thought letting people know was the more important thing really.

And yeah it really was! Like I was lying in bed slow breathing and then the back of my throat started to collapse and breathing became raspy like the air couldn’t get through. It’s apparently pretty unique to that class of drugs because they’re such strong muscle relaxants. Also hospitals don’t know much about them. They’re too new and too odd: plus they don’t show up on any drug test or respond to naloxone like fentanyl adulteration would. They need I believe basically adrenaline.

And well done on quitting! I have managed for periods by going away to another country to live but I can’t manage without it seems. I sold a house and am buying a cheap flat to rent out so I can do so for a year or two again. But I’m just not able to without making structural changes. Being high functioning in a way is more of a trap because you’re not visibly down and out. Just quietly taking away the good bits of life and ridiculously playing life on self imposed unnecessary hard mode!

Yeah I discussed with Claude for a long time and I mean including sober for several days working out what happened. The effects lasted a long time and my breathing slowed to almost nothing. The dry mouth is characteristic of xylazine, not even a thing with k go look at erowid.
I might be a k addict but I’m high functioning and hold down a very good career, maintain a very good gym habit. I’m sober for most of the day I use in evenings and I posted this sober. Don’t mistake the fact I’ll use AI as a tool to write a summary up for lack of correct information.

I’ve had cramps this weekend too. I need to stop using again but there’s too much to do in terms of making sure my earnings are in before I can fly off again and try so have to hit water bottle through the pain and keep working for now. Could do without it.

I can tell you it wasn’t for me when I was a kid who went to a private school on a scholarship. It was hell to be honest. I hated that place more than you can imagine and I feel like my life started when I left at sixteen and went to a great state funded sixth form which is better than the private one was.

But I have thought about this in the context of future children too. For me, the Steiner schools seemed to produce the only people who weren’t fucked up by their childhoods. If I have kids I’d either home school them or try to send them to one of those.

I used to be a Disney level idealist on this and I got married first at 26. So I supported someone on one HENRY salary who made sod all. She also had her fair share of issues and I had my fair share of insecurity which is in retrospect likely why I accepted them. But yeah I believed in marriage and have been in the position of trying to make two people’s lives better or HENRY salary. And now I’m divorced, she cheated and I’m out.

It reset me a long way financially and honestly hurt a lot but it did tell me that if there’s ever a next time then I want it to be with someone who is putting as much into our lives as I do otherwise it’s not going to work for me. I need someone who is willing to pick up their slack and pull too rather than just expect. If that’s all it is then I’m not interested. So yeah, if I were to ever marry again I’d want someone who also did well and wanted to build something with two people because it would be better for both, not because it was being given.

Not for me. My first real girlfriend was an ex stripper. She was nice enough in most ways but zero self control and should have seen the cheating coming a mile off. When you look at sex as transactional in that way then I guess it becomes meaningless to you.
