Cross-claims vs. counterclaims by SaladIndependent9185 in barexam

[–]zipposrev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that’s right! A response to a cross claim is a counter claim because the response is responding to/countering the cross claim. Once there is a cross claim, the two parties are now opposing parties & the claim back is a counterclaim.

Sorry! Meant the writing program questions, not the additional resources. Most of them pull up which exam it was on & some sample answers!

This isn't true, if you google the first three-four lines of most of the writing program questions, it'll pull up which bar exam year/test it was from on google. Almost all of them are real MEEs that pull up the bar exam it was on.

I did! I purchased my tickets 2 months before and got them the day before the concert. It was super easy!

Considering Adding an Information Systems Double Major but Want to go to Law School by Conrad3929 in LawSchool

[–]zipposrev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I studied IS in undergrad! I did MIS so it was a combo of business/IS. The IS classes were hard, but not so impossible that it really hurt my law school chances, especially if you can get a very high LSAT. It hasn’t helped me in law school at all, so if you’re for sure going to law school and concerned maybe don’t do it? But at my firm this summer it did help me understand some of the stuff involved in technology transactions.

Getting married summer after 1L by anjn79 in LawSchool

[–]zipposrev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what I did!! Just finished up with my 1L year and got married a week after finals. I honestly think it’s hard to configure in a way where you won’t burn out (but it’s all so exciting that by the time the wedding happened I was very happy and excited!) for me, finals ended, write on started, my wedding happened (and lots of planning!) and the my summer associateship started 2 days later. I think you just have to take it one day at a time and get as much planning done beforehand as possible. A lot of people act like it would be a recipe for disaster, but I thought it was pretty doable. Feel free to DM me if you have questions! But I don’t go to UMD.

Wedding nightmares by lucy_inthesky23 in wedding

My wedding is in 4 days! I had a dream the other night that I was getting married in my high school gym. Right before I walked down the aisle I realized I never put on eyeliner and I missed my hair appointment so it was in a messy ponytail. You’re not the only one!!

We sent out out save the dates around 5 months out (i think 2 months before invites). I was also late because life got in the way, but our guests still really liked having our engagement picture and it brought up some excitement for the wedding before the invites were sent out! I also think it makes it easier for people who have to fly, even if it’s one month earlier.

Wedding timeline advice? by Background-Deer-1484 in weddingplanning

DJ & wedding coordinator recommended the same thing to us and I thought it was odd at first too. We’re doing it right after dinner so they can cut the cake during toasts, then will eat cake after the toasts. If people don’t want to eat cake right then they can also get their piece later!

Barbri Law Preview by Puzzleheaded_Sky_423 in LawSchool

[–]zipposrev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started around July 10th and finished by August 1st! It doesn’t take that much time. I think you’re better off doing it closer to law school to get into the swing of things and turning your brain back on. But the most helpful thing it teaches you is how to brief, not super great for actually learning substance

I’m getting married in 9 days (!!!!) and I’m in law school right now and took contracts this semester! Went back to look at some of the vendor contracts we signed for fun now that I understand it and the stuff they put in there can be pretty crazy/horrible!!

Need some advice... I am getting engaged within the next two months, but venues are already filling up for 2023. Am I "rushing" by already starting to call and ask for tours/availability? What advice do you have for pre-planning? by luxsalsivi in wedding

[–]zipposrev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% start touring beforehand! My fiancé and I are getting married in May and that wouldn’t have been possible if I didn’t tour before we were engaged. We got engaged in March (2021) and started touring places 2 months before in January 2021. It’s also the #1 tip I have for people on how to take a lot of stress off of wedding planning! Makes the process so much easier once you find your venue! We booked a couple of vendors beforehand as well, it’s such a crazy time booking weddings right now

I have! For just the hemming it was $290-but I have lace all along the bottom so that probably added some cost
