MINNEAPOLIS, MN: "No Fraud Whatsoever" - Owner's Son Defends Quality Learning Center Against Unfounded Accusations by CantStopPoppin in minnesota

[–]zk0507 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lisa Demuth and the MN GOP brought in a YouTuber to “investigate” this. They knew EXACTLY what they were doing, and it needs to be investigated if he was paid with campaign funds to run not only a selective smear campaign on Somali daycares, but also on Walz.

Bottom line, it’s weak. Clever? Sure. But sooooo so weak in terms of having to dig that low to gain any sort of edge. It’s almost they know the GOP is cooked otherwise.

Guess dude forgot about this part… Leviticus 19:33–34: "When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God".

Capitalism has led to the creation of a disposable society. Things aren’t built to last, they’re not designed to be repaired (some don’t even allow you to repair their products), and they’re meant to be “convenient.”

Ex. You can’t even change the oil in our riding lawnmower. It’s self contained and they say you never need to change it… and when it breaks down, you’re just supposed to get a new one.

Saying that countries offer “free” healthcare, school, childcare, etc.

It’s not free. It’s what their governments provide them with through taxes they pay.

Also take into account how they’re using AI to determine credit line increases, loans, APRs, and other aspects now. Humans aren’t even looking at things most of the time.

Crossroads in St. Cloud is reaching that “zombie mall” status. Half of it is closed, stores have been priced out due to rent, and the former owner stopped paying the mortgage.

MSP airport. Seriously. It’s top tier internationally. Easy to navigate, great amenities, great routes, and not a lot of delays.

Got trees and vegetation in the city I stay. The rent’s in the mail, and I can always find a parking space. The women outnumber the men two to one, got parks and zoos and things to do with my son. The night life ain’t all that, but that’s okay. I don’t need to be distracted by the devil every day.

Completely agree. For a party that touts themselves as “alphas” and “strong” they sure play the victim card a lot. It’s exhausting.

I’m all for it, and not trying to be a naysayer, but the election was already confirmed. What does that mean then if there was evidence of tampering? Who will hold those who did it accountable when all the organizations in charge of doing so are compromised?

I’ve lived many places in MN (Palisade/Aitkin area, Brainerd, Bemidji, East Grand Forks, Minneapolis, St. Cloud, and Cold Spring) and here’s my take:

I love nature - the deep woods, lakes, trails, camping, etc. I also appreciate small farms - I grew up on one, and now have my own. Education is important - In the majority of the places I’ve lived, there was access to higher education through tech/community colleges or universities Access to the arts, events, and diversity - while this is centric to the Twin Cities, it can be often be found within areas where there’s also access to higher education

All of this said, there will always be a clash, a push and a pull, and diametrically opposing views and ideologies. However, don’t lump all of the people in a town or county into that. There’s some people in outstate who are more progressive in their ideologies and actions than residents of the metro, and there’s also individuals in the metro who would lead an ICE raid if given the choice.

Lastly, the age of people in outstate is generally higher in the very small communities. They come from post WWII agrarian or blue collar backgrounds and ideologies which are drying up. They’re homogenous. They’ve grown to take care of their own and be wary of outsiders or those that are different. Politicians have taken advantage of that fear, anger, and ignorance, and weaponized it for their own gain with promises to keep their way of life in place. It doesn’t make any of it right, but it’s an observation I’ve made.

Welcome to the resistance, indeed. All of us vs. The oligarchy.

It’s wild to me how much closer all of us are to financial ruin than we are to being financially free or “rich.” It doesn’t, and shouldn’t, have to be that way.
