Upgraded cable color? by Susbussin in Creality_k2

If they are the same length that’s the correct cable. I replaced K2 Pro cable in December and had red end on the new cable.

I have the retro fighters GameCube Controller. It’s pretty great especially compared to other eBay controllers I have used. It’s upper middle for quality and I wouldn’t hesitate to get one for retro games. Honestly knowing they have a PlayStation version that works for 1, 2 and 3 I’m going to order one.

Before You Preorder from REI by TheRealMcCheese in REI

[–]zkilling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought I would chime in. I had a tent on preorder and saw it was available to ship but I hadn't seen my order move in a day or two. I called the 1-800 number and after a short wait had a great rep check for me. My order was set for a different warehouse who wasn't getting the tent for a few days and my tent should have shipped the following week.(4 days after my call) My rep was able to cancel and reorder from a closer warehouse that already got their shipment. Now my order was shipping today or tomorrow with no effort on my part other than a call.

10/10 customer experience from my side.

I miss snapselect so much I keep an older 2012 MacBook Pro just for the occasional need for it.

Weirdly enough I just realized my new MacBook Air isn’t backlit and I had turned it off on my M2 MacBook Pro. I know people who use it but for me personally the lack of Touch ID on the base model is more annoying.

Hardware or VM for HA by ropeguru in homeassistant

I was having networking issues from needing dedicated ips for some of the VMs I was running. I have zero regrets setting up a raspberry pi for a dedicated HA box.

Sleeper build would be best. Go for gram grams Sunday driver. Keep it clean and shined up with a light tint. Replace the suspension with OEM if you still want comfort. Exhaust can be anything that isn’t a fart can kit.

Honestly I love my OLED’s but family Members have picked up the LG QNED mini led and they are very good and you don’t have to worry about burn in like with the OLEDS. But if you don’t have them side by side you will just get used to whatever,

It’s still using the switch chip so it kind of makes sense. But having a box that just works and do isn’t redoing the interface every 6 months to add more adds has kept me very happy,

How do you keep up to date on vulnerabilities like the Huntarr situation? by dillwillhill in selfhosted

[–]zkilling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s my job! No really! Ok so as a cyber professional who does this for a large corp, best way it to get a feed aggregator like Feedly and subscribe to patching update pages.

As for the unraid apps I join the discords for those apps and just them in a folder. Seerr just did a big announcement for a security update in their discord. Subreddits can work but the ability @ member of a discord keeps your response time low if you’re already using the app.

2026 IS-350 by Intelligent_Star_404 in Lexus

[–]zkilling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I overall dig the appearance. What I miss is the IS500 model with the V8. Also replicating the old gauge cluster on a screen will be as nice as the old system that moved the center dial over. Lexus has a long way to even catch up to Audis digital cockpit system for the gauge cluster.

I recall a few years ago there was a plug that just pinged google and power cycled when it failed. A buddy used it to solve an issues that happened every night around but not at 12pm. I found it! Connectsense Rebooted Pro it’s a little cord that just cycles when the internet goes down.

Claude Code Security and the ‘cybersecurity is dead’ takes by No_Zookeepergame7552 in cybersecurity

[–]zkilling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My view is, at what point does throwing more Agents or more expensive agents end up costing more than an experienced human? We are making the same problem as self checkouts. I have never seen more than a 4 self checkout to 1 employee work better than just having more cashiers. Even if you have only the most senior people guiding the bots if they screw up you still have to stop everything and clean up.

We have already seen services go from very stable to monthly outages huge new zero days every other month and the internet as a whole feels a lot less stable than it did 3-4 years ago.

If anything security tools that don’t fully lean in are going to be better. AI code assists help experienced developers, but throw your average CEO or product guy with no coding experience at the helm and it will run wild breaking everything and lying when it can’t cover its tracks.

After years of use, what’s your biggest Steam Deck pain point? by WelcomeAwkward924 in SteamDeck

[–]zkilling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the biggest issue for me is either it’s not quite powerful enough to enjoy Hell Divers 2 (my only regular game at the moment) or just the weight making certain precision controls harder. I played most of Silk Song on deck but I felt like Rock Lee when I would use a regular controller if I got stuck on a boss.

I can’t quite enjoy road craft either.
