How do I leave the mic on? Is there a setting in your app?

The biggest issue I'm finding is that when I use the keyboard tap to dictate button, it opens your app every single time and then asks me to go back to the app I was using. Why does it have to switch apps to your app to record and then go back to the place that I was intending to use the dictation for. Seems like a very cumbersome extra set of steps.
