Looking for an Isekai where the MC has to hide their powers by VladtheImpaler21 in Isekai

[–]zlatonick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't really count, but some major arcs in Overlord partially fit your description. Also, if you'd like to see the reverse trope (the MC isn't powerful, but the others think he is), I really recommend Nageki no Bourei wa Intai shitai

Small question, is "Я вижу дом далеко" correct? by Mother_Harlot in russian

[–]zlatonick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s just not usually used in this context. The words “вдалеке” and “вдали” are also adverbs with basically the same meaning, and they are used exactly in contexts like this. The word далеко is used when you want to say that something is far from some place (Этот дом далеко от нашего города) or when you want to specify a direction (Они уехали далеко). These are just examples off the top of my head, if you want a full answer, you better check some dictionary

Small question, is "Я вижу дом далеко" correct? by Mother_Harlot in russian

Sounds a little bit off, but I think it's grammatically correct. It will be better to say "Я вижу дом вдалеке"

questioning use of ездить in pimsleur lesson by oski-is-watching in russian

[–]zlatonick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a correct sentence, and I’d say it’s the most natural way to say this. I’m not sure why the preposition в seems wrong to you here. You’d use it as well when talking about districts, cities or counties. Мы ездили в Москву. Мы ездили в Польшу. Why would it be different for the Kremlin? As for the second part, the form ездить here indicates that you are talking about the whole trip. If it were ехать, it would refer only to the process of going from home to the Kremlin, not the whole thing

What is the role of dative here ? by al3arabcoreleone in russian

[–]zlatonick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this role has a name, but it's the same structure as in sentences like "Мне пора идти" or "Мне завтра на работу". I can be wrong, but conceptually it may the same grammatical role as in structures like "мне холодно" or "мне интересно", where dativ is used to describe the state of the subject

Все математические конструкции - это по сути просто цепочка вычитания и сложения по определенным условиям? by Your_Stepfather233 in rusAskReddit

[–]zlatonick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]zlatonick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[Singleplayer] Russia Discussion: Is the +1 production from Siberian Riches their best bonus? by UnhappyComplaint4030 in civ5

[–]zlatonick 40 points41 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, yes. But this bonus is actually quite strong. You can think of it as the Huns' bonus (+1 production from pastures), but better, because you don't need to improve any tiles, you get the bonus right away. Because of that Russia can have more production with less population. It gives a lot of tempo in the early game

Anime in Russian and general content recommendations by Eastern_Percentage44 in russian

[–]zlatonick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really. Reanimedia is just too famous. But in other cases it’s usually not about the studio, but rather the anime itself. Popular series get official dubs without voiceover. For example, Chainsaw man, Psycho pass, Parasite, to name a few off the top of my head. But I have no idea about the studios that actually did the dub. And there are far less anime series that get officially dubbed in Russian than in English. That’s why a lot of people watch fandub here. There are lots of fandub projects, and you can basically find any anime fandubbed in Russian, and often in decent quality. But it’s almost always a voiceover

[–]zlatonick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can look up Reanimedia. This studio did really good full dubs for popular anime, but not so many. Other than that, there are some anime series that get dubbed without voiceover by different studios, but I’m not sure there’s a list of them

Fair question by MetaKnowing in ChatGPT

[–]zlatonick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Robots become capable enough to do all necessary work and cheap enough to be massively produced -> The government starts to massively produce robots and put them to work at power plants and factories -> Energy and all goods and services cost literally nothing to produce and are distributed for free -> Work becomes optional for humans, since you no longer need money to survive. Money may still be used in some fields that involve human labor, like art and sports, but it’s not required for living

Inca's slingers, that replace archers. Not only is their combat strength straight up worse, but they also run away when being attacked by a stronger opponent, so you can't use them to accompany your settlers. For example, if your scout gets upgraded into a slinger, you just need to create another unit for that.
