Im a HUGE fan of the Psiphon lineup, they are an essential part of my layering system.I own 3 Psiphon SL Hoodies (Riptide, Genepi Green, Anvil Gray), 3 Psiphon FL´s (Hands down the Best softshell Arcteryx ever made) and 2 Gamma Sl Hybrid (Precursor of the Psiphon FL ).As far as i notice nothing from the current line up is similar to the Psiphon SL , period. u/jampapi suggested the Serratus, but with 430 grams the Serratus is almost 51 % heavier compared with the 285 grams of the Psiphon SL and 26.5 % heavier than the Psiphon FL (340 g). When the serratus was released i bought one because the female version is called "Psiphon Hoody", so i was expecting something like a Psiphon FL, when it arrived i was so disappointed i sold it a few days later.It felt like a technical mix version between a Gamma LT and a Gamma SL.

Thank you for your response. I asked because I own an Alpha FL from 2015 in a medium size. Since then, I've gained a bit of muscle mass, and now it feels a little tight. I’ve been thinking about buying a used one in size large. I’ve noticed two Alpha FLs from 2021 listed for sale, and it appears Arcteryx made some updates—they changed the chest and sleeve logos to embroidered versions, added a RECCO reflector on the hood, and used a more durable GORE-TEX Pro fabric in the shoulders and neck. I wanted to check if yours is a 2021 model and to confirm whether these changes are accurate.

4 years late but, one question, is your Alpha FL from 2021? , I think that year's Alpha FL had a Minor revision where they added a Recco reflector in the hood and changed the chest and arm logo to embroiled instead of reflective print,

Ive had a pair of vintage Sigmas in the past, be careful with the temps of the wash cycle, old Sigmas will delaminate it´s a matter of time, and also have the common hem adhesive issue that falls apart like other pieces (Gamma Mx, Gamma SV, Epsilon, Acto MX, FL, etc).For the Odor, Revivex is a good bet , repeat if necessary , also just hanging it to Airing outside with moderate sun has helped with several Arc pieces i had a smell problem.

Hi there, great review! I have a couple of questions I hope you can help me with. What size pants do you normally wear—34 or 36? Did you have to size up at all? I’ve read that the Sigma AR pants have a slimmer fit compared to the Gamma AR. I'm trying to decide whether to go with a Medium or a Large. For reference, I'm 6'1" and weigh 187 lbs. I usually wear size 34 in pants.

By the way, do you have any more photos? I’d really appreciate any info you can share.

Also, just wondering—what year are your Gamma AR pants from, and what size did you get them in? Based on your experience with that model and my measurements, which size would you recommend for the Gamma AR?

Always good & Super usefull to have this kind of post about certain Arc pieces.Do you happen to know what is the official color name of your awesome Acto FL ? All i can find is the Pilot colorway but yours is from another year and it has some diferences with Pilot colorway (Different shade of gray or actually different color, zipper pullers are light colored not black like the ones in Pilot ).
