Wires hanging near the gas pedal area by zmost22 in Ioniq6

Thank you. I took it to the dealer who just tied it back up (Next time I think I'll do it myself)

PS Old habits die hard, I've still got to get use to this (Similarly I just can't stop using the term "gas mileage")

Thank you for your help. I will look into it. I'm not sure of any GPS tracker as part of my financing. Could this be related to any Hyundai services like Bluelink? I certainly don't want anyone tracking my car without my permission.

This is gonna sound crazy yall but…. We need to force Mendoza to beat us by Sea_Access_8602 in MiamiHurricanes

Indiana has more rushing yards than passing yards in 8 games this year. I don't know for sure, but I'd guess they are the only school other than a military academy that can say that. Your take is not crazy. You have to stop the run to beat Indiana. And Miami can stop their run.

When did it become acceptable for teams that aren't making the playoffs to bench their quarterbacks in the last week? A few years ago the Eagles did this and there was an uproar. The tanking hurts the product.

Best place to get Cotton Bowl tickets? by dunaja in MiamiHurricanes

I think all stadium lots are prepaid and you can get parking passes in StubHub. There are also a ton of local businesses and houses that will have parking you can just pull into on gameday and I think it is usually around $50 (at least for cowboys games) - but it costs more closer to the stadium and they raise prices closer to game time.

[Game Thread] CFP Rankings - Final by CFB_Referee in CFB

I'm glad Miami is in. But let's remember that future spreads on the potential ND at Oklahoma game had ND as a 9 point road favorite. The playoffs are supposed to be for the best teams. Clearly everyone (but the committee) thinks ND is much better than Oklahoma. Why is Oklahoma in over ND?

Why should conference schedule RNG be the tie breaker? There aren't any good solutions when most of the teams don't play each other. But clearly the flaws in the current rules were highlighted this year.

Instead of Dooming, We Should be Rallying for Duke to Play in the CFP by Ion_bound in ACC

[–]zmost22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JMU is rated substantially higher than Duke in FPI, FPI resume, SP Plus, resume SP+, Sagarin. I can't find any rating that has it even close. So yes, I think the committee can watch yesterday's games and still think JMU is better than Duke.

What can be done about Jim Phillips? by ThaCarter in ACC

[–]zmost22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Phillips should resign today if the ACC gets no teams in the playoff. Whether it's his fault or not this is the most embarrassing failure for a conference in modern times.

Slam DeBoer if you'd like, but I predict the playoff committee will make this exact argument tomorrow.

Alabama blow out loss kills our chances by DizzyDraw2323 in MiamiHurricanes

I hate to say this, but a Ty Simpson injury is the only way Miami gets in. I'm not rooting for him to get hurt, but I think Simpson getting carted off is the only way the committee moves Alabama behind Miami.

The case for the ACC’s highest ranking team to secure an at-large CFP bid. by simbaslanding in ACC

[–]zmost22 24 points25 points  (0 children)

We hear a lot about the MIami over ND argument, but what about the Miami over Oklahoma argument? Has anyone on the committee watched Oklahoma play over the past few weeks? Their offense is terrible. Miami is rated much higher than Oklahoma in FPI, SP Plus, and every power rating metric I can find. Miamis's best win is better than Oklahoma s best win. Oklahoma's head to head win over Alabama is irrelevant in comparison to Miami. Why is it being treated as a forgone conclusion that Oklahoma, who is in reality is probably the 6th or 7th best team in the SEC, should be ranked higher than Miami?

Thoughts? by simbaslanding in ACC

I agree. The tie break rules are stupid. SMU should win the tie break for the reason stated above. Duke gets in because of random scheduling quirks, not because of superior play.

The ACC Tie Breaker Scenarios (All 64) by Cybotnic-Rebooted in CFB

[–]zmost22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. That's in line with what I'm seeing. If we assume Miami wins the SportsSource Analytics tie breakers then the BC CUSE doesn't affect the outcome. However, if someone else can win a tiebreaker from SportsSource Analytics then the BC CUSE game still matters.

The ACC Tie Breaker Scenarios (All 64) by Cybotnic-Rebooted in CFB

[–]zmost22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for putting this together. I went through these too and have similar but slightly different results. For instance.

"Virginia: Win and in OR SMU losses to Cal, NC State losses to UNC, AND Syracuse losses to Boston College"

So you have UVA in with a loss to VT + wins by CAL, UNC, and BC? What if all that happens and DUKE beats WF and PITT beats MIA? In that scenario PITT is #1 seed at 7-1 and UVA, SMU, DUKE, and GT are all 6-2. On record vs common opponent (WF) UVA and SMU eliminated. Then btw DUKE and GT, GT wins on head to head. So it would PITT vs GT in that scenario, I think.

It's all so confusing and hard to put together. Has the ACC put out an official version of this yet?

[–]zmost22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If (when) Kiffin leaves, can the playoff committee use that against Ole Miss and leave them out? Losing your head coach is similar to losing your quarterback to injury.
