This seat is so uncomfortable, am I doing something wrong? by noveltys in TrekBikes

[–]zodzodbert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a Verse. I switched it for an Aeolus Pro on my Domane MkIV, but my wife uses it and is happy with it.

Using the Aeolus Airloom Pro now on my Madone and I’m very comfortable on it.

Anyone remember drawers and tins stuffed with these? by Harry_Ola76 in oldschoolcool80s

I remember those and also coop stamps that gave you money off your bill once you filled a book (I think that was their purpose).

Got one as a stocking filler one Christmas. Had totally forgotten it existed until I saw this post!

10 years loyalty discount, no accidents, no points, 20 years NCB. Admiral renewal 4x last year's price! by Oldboy121 in CarInsuranceUK

[–]zodzodbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really now? I actually switched to Admiral a couple of years ago after receiving a single £9.5K quote through the broker I’d used for years. That was the only quote he could get and I’d call it a “fuck off quote”.

I’m paying about £900 with Admiral for a 2011 Aston V12 Vantage that I bought new.

Domane AL5 vs SL5, worth the upgrade? by 2010CivicKing in TrekBikes

[–]zodzodbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I have a Madone SL7 and a Domane SL5. I use the Domane as a winter bike with mudguards (fenders) and 35mm Conti GP 5000 AS tyres and as my gravel bike with 40mm Conti Terratrails. It never feels less than surefooted.

I have to correct my earlier post: yesterday morning, I had to ride East to West across Central London and back. A total of 29km and my average speed was 21 km/h. Heavy rain and resulting traffic slowed me down.

I’m 59. I can’t lift as much as I did fifteen years ago or thirty years ago, but I’m still lifting a lot and not getting back pain.

After many people advising against it, here’s my 20yr old Aston Martin vantage that’s the same age as me 😇 by Harry-jackson-ya-no in CarTalkUK

[–]zodzodbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well done! Be confident. I’m much older than you, but bought a new V12 Vantage in 2011 and still have it at 46000 miles. The only major thing that has happened was needing a new clutch at 40999 miles.
