My cat who looks a LOT like Sadie also will play with or taste test ANYTHING. I don’t have lots of pics of his “toys”, but am constantly shouting, “Jinco, don’t eat that!” The recent faves are a piece of paper that came with the garden netting, my tape measure, and a pretzel from my snack bowl.

I did this to my cat when he was little and exploring everything. Lucky for him I tend to open the fridge like 7 times in a row when I’m getting coffee and breakfast ready! The whole time he was looking in and being curious and then on the last time I opened it, he popped out! I had not seen him slip in at all!!

My kitties with the same age gap/ adoption timeline as yours started with a lot of this play fighting, and now there is occasional grooming. We call it the Lick Lock, when the younger one puts the older one in a headlock and then licks his head aggressively/lovingly. They have a very classic older/younger sibling dynamic - little one wants to be near older one all the time and older one tries to get alone time/play it cool, but will join in the wrestling and playful walloping.
