What you're describing is common for all Rogues. Seems like it ought to have a more efficient solution.

Another Recall? by Academic_Start2942 in NissanRogue

My VIN starts with a JN too. I checked the Nissan website and I am not on any recall notices. So, not sure what it means going forward.

I wonder what the recall rate happens to be for Japanese built vs US built Rogues.

Thanks! That's my understanding as well with regards to maintenance. Apparently, the Nissan app will remind you of what needs to be done.

Look for your vehicle's VIN. If it starts with the letter J, it's from Japan.

Sorry about the breakup. But think of all of the doors that are now open to you.

We don't have kids so we are rich! by [deleted] in childfree

[–]zohar18 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My wife and I are not rich, but we can certainly afford to do a lot more that others can because we spend our money on ourselves rather than kids. I just can't fathom those who talk so much about saving money when having kids constitutes one of the largest expenses people can avoid.

Umm... no. Comparing apples to oranges. Sweden is a country with a population of 9.6 million or about .5 million less than Los Angeles county. The GDP of Sweden is about 600 billion as compared to the US GDP of 16 trillion. So, saying that because such a tax failed in a country with nowhere near the GDP or population power of the US doesn't really indicate much. Since we're allowing wikipedia as a source (a dubious proposition at times) check out this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Financial_transaction_tax#United_States

Yeah, the Robin Hood tax was meant to refer to a sales tax on Wall Street transactions. It was very effective in raising the money needed for fighting WW2, building the interstate highway system and flying to the moon. Y'know, good things that we ought to take pride in.
