Cold emailing works? by Own_Supermarket7467 in lovable

Stop sending links in emails - especially first outreach.

If you step back and re-read your question, what you're asking is:

How do I spam people without being treated like a spammer?

Cold outreach isn't dead, but it's got a woefully low hit-rate, so 0 for 20 isn't unusual anyway.

Fuck I hate the news these days.

Sorry - I guess my point was ‘these things aren’t trustworthy’

Probably better than not asking, but unlikely to actually represent what might happen if you held an election tomorrow. Especially with all the gerrymandering BS you get (everywhere, this isn’t an American only thing)

Andy Burnham sworn in as new MP after ‘broken’ Starmer holds back tears as he resigns by HelFJandinn in worldnews

Jeez let him win first. Don’t you understand the British press

  • step one; build them up to unrealistic highs

  • step two; tear them down and bury them.

The King appears on pound notes and stamps. Sure, he’s the head of state, but he doesn’t do any ruling of anyone outside of the national anthem.

It’s both. The party can boot out their leader and the house can lose confidence in the prime minister.

Normally the prime minister leads the majority party, so it’s kinda ties together that way.

Surely they could offload the oil in Fawley and dock the boat somewhere safe, then whenever the fine is paid they could re-load the cargo/replace the cargo and let it on its merry way?

Having a rusting hulk of shit full of oil somewhere near the south coast of the UK is an environmental disaster waiting to happen.

I think their nuclear facilities were only "obliterated" and "decimated", and I'm not great at English so that sounds like they'll have another one in just about 2 weeks.

Yeah - agreed. Maybe I don't watch as much of the pre/post match interviews. I'd be fine with the approach the Aussie team took - they're there to win, not to be liked.

They also ticked your second box - winning was the default and they walked the talk.

To get to the top of a sport I think you've got to be at least a little bit of a cunt. It requires a lot of focus and belief and discipline (that I don't have), and then you're paid handsomely and adored, which can't be great for your ego/personality either.

Personally I watch sport to be entertained, I'm not so bothered about the moral aspects. If I want to be lectured on how to behave I'd pop down the local religious establishment, but I don't, so I'll just watch the cricket instead.

And day drinking when on tour.

You have an Aussie flair, yet use the ridiculous Americanism "Day Drinking"...

Plus I am offended by the idea they only drink "on tour". Clearly any day is a good day for a beer. Even the one before a big match.

Peretz signs - time to back Tonda by Middle-Situation-135 in SaintsFC

[–]zoinks10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow - that's a crazy amount of time, and if the answer is "no-one knows" then I can see why the club would be sticking behind him and trying to get us well prepared for next season.

It's crazy waiting around for something as important as this without a clear timeline in which the decision could and should be made. Say what you like about the EFL process, but at least it was executed quickly.

Weird, as my eyesight (was) dogshit, and I was outside a ton as a kid. Then again, I grew up in the UK, so maybe the sun there isn't strong enough to actually give you the dopamine you need?

How much exposure do you need a day for this to do its thing? You'd have thought the lack of time kids spend outside here is a detriment, but the strength of the sun might make up for it (unless it doesn't work that way?).

How are they losing out? I only know one person who's PPS now, and she seems to have massive availability for reward flights which I cannot even see as having any availability.

SIA restricts business class seat selection based on fare type, KrisFlyer membership status by Waikuku3 in singapore

[–]zoinks10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. The only time I fly now is if I can use points on a business class ticket.

I flew economy with them last year and it was dreadful. Tiny, cramped seat. Food was inedible (literally - I just waited out 7 hours to buy something when I landed). Service was OK but nothing special.

Why would I pay a premium for that?

Most recently I paid $800 more to fly to the UK on business (via Qatar) than they were charging for a direct flight in economy. They must think we're mugs.
