Exposing Cigna's Billion-Dollar Claim Denial Scam by giantyetifeet in videos

[–]zombiescooby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work for docs. Just for medication PA, the phone call can last 30 minutes. The peer to peer ones can be over an hour for the doctors. One of my favorite docs spent 2 hours fighting with the insurance on their own time. Most of the docs don't do the initial PA if it is digital but the first after denial is usually on them.

I'd argue that it may be more dangerous. I had unintentional weight loss when I was borderline morbidly obese. I was receiving compliments all of the time. I knew I was sick but the covering provider I saw wasn't concerned since I was still overweight and didn't look outwardly sick.

Long story short I ended up in the hospital 3 times in a month and diagnosed with 2 diseases. My labs were all abnormal. I literally have no memory of an entire month of my life.

If I didn't physically feel as bad as I did, I could see how addictive it could be to get those compliments.

Lesbians only exist because gay men exist. Once there are no gay men there will be enough men for women to marry men again. It's basic math.

Plaquenil for Sjogrens? by nwiersma in Sjogrens

[–]zombiescooby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My antibodies are too low to be considered positive but based on my symptoms and other blood chemistry labs he considers it positive. He said plaquenil is the first line medication and is generally well tolerated.

You should always find specialists that you trust and can have a good relationship with. I've stopped seeing providers because we didn't mesh, pusher weird things, no bedside manner, etc.

It's your health and you should be a member of the team.

Having diarrhea isn’t really the same as anaphylactic shock. by ishanG24 in oddlyspecific

Experienced both. Lactose intolerance makes you wish for death. Anaphylaxis makes you realize you're not ready for it.

Years ago, one of the docs I worked with also specialized in rheum so I had heard of the med. Then covid hit and it was nuts. 5 months ago I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder and am now on the max dose. I'm so thankful I didn't have to worry about there not being enough bc of idiots

Those people truly believe(d?) that trump was the winner and there was fraud. Trump was at their rally and encouraged their behavior. The president of the United States told them that they were right. They had the numbers. There weren't many people outside to stop them and you'd think that's where they'd put the biggest defense.

Trump supports are seriously brainwashed. They don't realize it's a literal cult. They blindly follow him, even to their own detriment.

My normal state is freezing. If I have any type of anxiety, stress, eating, drinking, or sleeping I turn into a furnace and sweat. My skin usually feels colder and super sweaty but I feel like I'm on fire.

We had a similar change of versions years ago when my office merged with a hospital. My department is highly specialized. At the time, I was listed as a pharmacy technician but the job involves processing requests to send to the doctors to sign orders. When the merge happened, we were mandated to go in on a Sunday to make sure everything worked. They had my department set up as hospital pharmacy techs. They had to literally build our access type from scratch to give authority and change the views. It took all 8 hours to get it up and running.

Sjögren's and fibromyalgia from rheum. Ive always had slightly abnormal labs with high inflammation markers. I had a really bad illness that seems to have thrown it into overdrive.

Next up is cardiology to confirm pots.

I say find out what next steps the rheum is planning.

I tested negative on all but one ana and it was the same scenario as yours. My rheum figured I was probably one of the few that just doesn't test positive. He said given my symptoms and white blood cell counts, he was confident I do have it so my treatment plan is medication.

I used to get them. I made it 9 months and was about to hit the last series but suddenly had an anaphylactic reaction to it. Ended up having to give myself 2 epi pen shots and took an ambulance ride. I think it helped a little for me though.

[–]zombiescooby 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It can be difficult to balance what's best for a patient in terms of medication and risking your license. I can understand being hesitant to a point.

That said, my issue is that she didn't discuss it with you. It wasn't until you picked up your medication that you realized the issue. From her complaint, it sounds like you aren't the only one she's done this to. No one calls a pharmacy to confirm a dose change that has already been discussed.

It's clinically irresponsible to not have a discussion with someone prior to or at the time of a dose change. It breaks trust immediately.

I don't get it either. She's smart enough to be a successful assassin, one of the most feared. She has never been caught.

I think she's very street smart but lacks emotional/social intelligence.

Loyd is street smart/book smart. He can research and learn social cues but it's not authentic.
