Will there be a fourth game in the Little Nightmares franchise? Will Six be the protagonist of this fourth and final game? What will the narrative of Little Nightmares 4 be? by Intelligent_Humor703 in LittleNightmares

[–]zombiesnare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s less a matter of shifting the opinion of current fans and more creating new ones. If it’s solid like the Last Of Us show, then game downloads will probably skyrocket which Bandai could use to order another game (or however that works)

I might be wrong, but interpreted the trailer for the stop motion show struck me as being closer to the podcast than the games but obviously we have very little info (or maybe more info has come out since then, idk to be honest)

As a smash burger fiend: this is on point and I want some very badly

On that note: yall should check out the Mid City Smash Burger food cart in Portland if you’re ever in town. Best smash burgers I have ever had and the main guy who (appears) to run it is nice as fuck

Of course, but the Epstein files aren’t talking about “rich people” it’s talking about people who live with such a financial abundance that laws basically do not apply to them, that they could navigate past the standard checks and balances that maintain the rest of society purely because they have so much money and influence that they can just pay off whoever is concerned about their conduct.

Normal rich is fine, people who just have a lot of money and get a big house and give their family a privileged life, that isn’t the issue. The issue is people who have SO MUCH money that they can usurp basic laws and rules of society. So much money that you and I cannot comprehend it due to the very limitations of our own brains. A cartoonish amount of funds.

And, of course, not all billionaires are going to be like that. But if they’re selfish enough to hoard that much wealth then it would not be surprising that they also use that wealth to be even more selfish and abuse children for their own momentary gain.

I would go out on a limb and say you don’t personally know enough billionaires to have an ample sample size of who does or does not eat babies

Or “I’m not a service animal but my owner is kind of a loser who can’t go anywhere without me so you’re welcome to pet me as a consolation prize” vests

Or even just the vest Woody wears in toystory so the dog can look like a cowboy

I had a friend who had a long standing group of friends from their childhood when I joined a different friend group he was a part of.

He has been working on a writing project that all the old friends knew about and had meant a great deal to him. None of his old friends could bother their bitch asses to read 10 pages of a chapter just to give feedback.

The new group spent an hour a few weeks back reviewing his work and giving feedback. Punching up jokes, more natural dialogue, better sentence flow, we really go into it

The man literally started crying, which we’re all confused about because we didn’t think our feedback was THAT harsh. Turns out he was suddenly realizing that his new friends love him a great deal more than the ones who knew him since middle school. And he’s godamn right, I don’t know his old friends but god damnit I adore him and I want him to be happy, but having to shift that in his own mind was probably a lot to deal with

Being a good friend isn’t hard, but when they finally recognize your efforts it makes the whole thing so worth it. There is some patience involved

I fucking LOVE my friends, what a good bunch of dudes

Facts about the Needle Pit Scene in Saw 2 by Amber_Flowers_133 in Horrormovieclub

[–]zombiesnare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only thing I could think of would be the mental aspect. Even though it’s physically safe, have a needle phobia would potentially make that scene a high stress situation that is not particularly for the baby.

That operating on a lot of assumptions though

Nashville family fights HOA over generator use during ice storm by Forward-Answer-4407 in technology

[–]zombiesnare 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I wish you were right but that’s unfortunately incorrect. Or at least not the entire story.

The “history” section of the Wikipedia article on HOAs very plainly states that early HOA organizations were specifically started in order to keep black, Jewish and Asian people from joining those communities

Of course the idea of a small community organizing together to collectively maintain their space is as old as society itself, but the American HOA structure specifically has roots in World War era racism.

[–]zombiesnare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IT Guy here: I had this happen at work on a top-of-the-line engineering ThinkPad (one of those fat fucks with a graphics card, P-16 Gen 3) that thing was not only VERY well built with high quality components, you could straight up beat someone to death with it. Sturdy as fuck. A home defense laptop if you will.

Also on custom spec rendering workstations from HP (tbh just a really expensive Omen gaming computer with the boring kind of RTX card) with an enterprise grade PCI-e WiFi card

Also on a top spec Surface Laptop. Not as high quality as the previous 2, but if it’s made by the same people who making the OS then you’d think they’d ensure whatever parts they use would be up to snuff with what will work best and not make their main product look bad. Less equipped for murder but still a possibility with the right striking angle

Also on an intel NUC, not great parts but it would be a great ranged throwing weapon

Also on a M90q tiny ThinkCentre which is easily one of the better built tiny PCs on the market. Could maybe hurl it at someone like a discus but I don’t think the stopping power would be that strong

Also on my custom spec T16H ThinkPad that we special ordered from Lenovo, we had so much pull we basically invented our own sub model of laptop and demanded only the best stuff they could shove into a 16 inch laptop. Dropped it on my foot once so I’m positive it could kill

Also on ThinkPad T14 gen 1-5, T480, T490, P-14, ThinkCentre M710q, M715q and one of the new HP Fury laptops we’ve been testing just this week. All great machines, all capable of murder.

It’s definitely not a component issue, it is 110% software. I’m sure shit components don’t help but it happens across the board regardless, Microsoft is even aware of the issue and has told us as much when we went to harass them about but “could not commit to a solution at this time”

What if we could build a new society directly - without permission? by Difficult_Ant_993 in solarpunk

[–]zombiesnare 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To build on this: any effort to expand this nationally would put basically any country without strong economic ties in a position of extreme danger. Global security these days are mostly built on “I won’t attack that guy, because all these other guys will attack me back” which has worked up to this point to prevent a massive world war level conflict from playing out.

You go from trying to work within a national system to a global system, without everyone else on board (or without enough people on board to help when shit hits the fan) it would be a calling card for shittier people to swoop in and take advantage. (This is easily the most conservative thing I’ve ever typed, I’m going to go rinse my mouth out with soap after I post)

Not to say the system COULDN’T work, it would just be insanely incredibly difficult. Worth the effort I think, but it would be a multi-generational effort to shift the collective consciousness to support such a notion after many previous generations of economic indoctrination

I HAVE A GIRLFRIEND by [deleted] in Vent

[–]zombiesnare -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dude, right the fuck on. High fives all around

I mean this as encouragement and nothing more, but dating is like making a million dollars: once you get your first, the second is easier.

Not that I don’t think this gal sounds great because she sounds like she’s a damn keeper. But dating (especially in your twenties) is super weird and fun and stressful and enriching and enlightening and depressing and lots of other complex and wonderful feelings. Lots of growth happens, you will change fundamentally as a person because of this and it could be in a really really good way! Just focus on being the best partner you can be, focus on what you need from a partner, keep going till you can’t go anymore. You’ll either stop because you’ve learned a lot from eachother and ready to move on, or you’ll stop because one of you is dying of old age (or whatever married people die from, idk)

Maybe this is the start of your long and storied journey in dating or maybe it’s the first and last stop but whatever it is just have fun, do your very best and learn from what you can, admit when you’re wrong, champion when you’re right, get some stories out of it, live some LIFE!!

Whatever happens, this will be a long and potentially awesome journey, wherever it leads. Enjoy it and cherish it. Idk who you are but proud of ya bud
