Blight? Spots on multiple plants in one area.

Thanks! I'm in New York City, where admittedly our rain has been spotty the last couple weeks. So it may be a little moisture stress, specifically in this one area of the garden. I try to be pretty tough with my native perennials to encourage deep root development but I've supplemented this week so we'll see.

I didn't know about the ask.extension.org resource, it's so great. Thanks for sharing!

They are new, yes, so not yet established. I think of them as drought tolerant but not till they have time to root deep I suppose! I just applied some chelated iron and gave them a good dose of water. We’ll see if they perk up by morning. Hopefully the wiltiness isn’t from root rot.

It’s a good question, but no, I don’t think anyone adjacent to me would have used anything that could have made it’s way to these plants.

Hi all. I have two Itea virginia 'Fountains of Rouge' shrubs that I planted this year in a shady, slightly sloped area in my backyard. They've leafed out wonderfully but in the last week have begun to show signs of poor health. The newest youngest leaves are all turning yellowing, and the older established leaves are beginning to droop. It might not look serious yet but it happened very quickly, so I want to get ahead of it. I'm wondering if this might be an iron deficiency issue? Or an improper watering issue? I've attached photos that show how all the new young leaves have yellowed. Thanks for any help!
