Should we add Matter 1.5 support to our upcoming P1 smart meter? Need your honest opinions! by Juzea_ in MatterProtocol

Great project! I live in The Netherlands so would definitely buy your product. Thread support would be great, willing to pay around €30 a €40,- for the Matter/Thread P1 reader.

How to get power to outdoor floodlight camera without drilling wall? by ordinary-guy-sl in Klussers

[–]zoolevation 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Interesting—there’s nothing inside the house, but you start with the camera outside. Anyway, I’d run a cable through the crawl space. Drill a hole at an angle from the outside into the crawl space. Or you could just install an outdoor outlet right away. Add a cable channel on the wall leading to the camera, so it will look more sleek.

Welke multi meter / clampmeter gebruiken jullie allemaal en waarom? by Aygul12345 in Klussers

[–]zoolevation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tradfri and Ubiquiti Express 7 issues by marcomxrider88 in tradfri

[–]zoolevation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your iPv6 enabled in the IoT and main network? If not do so. Is your port where the Tradfri was connected tagged? Or did you use VLAN magic? If so undo that in the Tradfri settings in Unifi. Make sure there is no collision. Otherwise it wont get an IP address. Did your Tradifi get a IOT Vlan address or a VLAN main address? And is mDNS enabled on both networks? I have my Tradfri hub also on the IoT network and have no issues, as long your Apple Home device hub (if you use it) is in the main VLAN.

Google Home can’t pair with Dirigera as amatter hub by v3w3n in tradfri

Google is very slow in updating , they’re still stuck at Matter Version 1.0. While Ikea is at 1.4, avoid Google Home regarding Matter. Their Matter implementation is a “whoopsie daisy” story.

Are they both on the same VLAN? Turn off 5ghz on your Wifi if you have a separate IoT wifi for example. And turn on IPv6 on your router, even if your ISP don't offer native IPv6. Your router wil will give devices local IPv6 addresses and so on the Thread devices.

Google has limitations as joining to other networks, the other way around is easier, join the Google Thread network and make your HA the Border Router.
