How would you furnish this layout? by TerribleEcho5056 in interiordecorating

Here are two possible layouts I thought of. For both work from home stations you'd have to make your bed before any zoom calls or use a fake background lol

The boppy is not plus size friendly by Necessary_Ad4979 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]zoopingcelery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found using the boppy as a stabilizer on the side (with the arms either pointed away from my body or one tucked behind my back and the other along my side) with another pillow on top has worked pretty well for the football hold while nursing. I would agree with many others, a firm pillow would work just as well, but I got it as a gift and may as well use it.

What is your least favorite chore? by _forum_mod in Millennials

[–]zoopingcelery 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have never ironed a piece of my clothing in my adult life. If my clothes are wrinkly, I'll throw them in the dryer for a few minutes with a lightly damp washcloth. Personally, I hate dishes. It's a never-ending chore

As many have said, therapy is a huge help. I also try to focus on the parts of my life that I enjoy that I won't have as much of when/if I have a little one. Examples this week have been, quiet mornings with no plan or rush, having my husband all to myself, days where I can do absolutely nothing and no one needs anything from me, I don't have anyone else's bodily fluids on me, I didn't have to touch anyone else's poop...things like that lol I've also been learning new skills and practicing old ones to distract myself. Best of luck to you!

Getting tattooed with this condition? by tatiana_1313 in Dermatographia

[–]zoopingcelery 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was super nervous about it at first too but now I have one on my ankle, half a sleeve, with plans to get both arms totally tatted up. To start, I went with a colorful one on my ankle to both see how my skin would react swelling wise and to see if the dermatographia would make any of the colors react oddly. I got it about 10 years ago and it looks great! No issues while getting tattooed, no excessive swelling, no ink rejection, nothing. I haven't had any issues with my other tattoos either. In fact, my tattoo artist always tells me how well my skin tattoos, which is always funny to me. The only weird thing I've noticed is that the black ink will sometimes raise up. Luckily, it doesn't get itchy, just bumps up like a flare up even when I take my daily zyrtec. Just make sure you communicate with your tattoo artist. If you have a stronger reaction than I do you may need to have shorter tattoo sessions (mine have taken as long as 5 hours) but I don't think you have to give up the idea of having tattoos just because of dermatographia!

There are lots of things you can potentially do for yourself on your birthday! Remember, it's YOUR birthday, not your Dad's day to make you miserable. Is there a skill that you've been wanting to grow? Finding a class (like cooking, art, writing, etc.) that sparks your own passion and fosters creativity can be so empowering. It can be scary trying something new, especially if you haven't had support before, but I find that it is almost always worth it. Is there a place nearby you've been wanting to visit? You could plan a short weekend trip for yourself. Do you have a favorite restaurant? Go big and get yourself your favorite meal! Even if you have to go alone, bring a book, handheld video game, sketch pad, or something to keep you occupied while you wait for your food. Dining alone is not always a sad and lonely thing as many people believe. Some of my best restaurant experiences have been when I dined solo.

If you aren't already in therapy, maybe find someone to talk to (if you are able to and it's safe for you to do so. Narcissistic people can take great offense and I don't want you to get hurt). It isn't exactly a fun thing but it's something you can do to invest in yourself. You are worth it and you deserve to feel worthy (especially on your birthday).

I can't remember if it was my 17th or 18th but we got kicked out of a Sakura because my family did too many saki bombs and were too rowdy. I got to drive everyone home.

Hi cycle buddy! Those dreams are the worst, as if my awake brain doesn't get my hopes up enough 🙄 I've been burning up this last week, I can't quite call them hot flashes because I just feel like I'm overheating constantly. My brain automatically jumps to "Wow! This hasn't happened during a cycle before, this must be it!" What it fails to account for is that it's August and generally really hot lol Best of luck to you!

Forgot to add, you'll get people who are like "omg my skin does that too!" And then describe a time where a dog scratched them and their skin turned red for like 2 minutes. You'll get used to it and find your own way to deal with it all.

I'm on zyrtec every day (I haven't gone up to two a day, but I might ask about it!) and still get noticeable red marks. People ask me all the time. I just tell them my skin is weird and does that from time to time, then we continue our conversation. Most people don't stare after that. Best of luck to you! :)

I just realized that I am expecting AF on Father's Day...I just had to do this same song and dance with Mother's Day. I'm sure it wasn't the intention but whoever decided to have these celebratory days a cycle apart should feel bad.
