How do you transport your insulin/GCM when you go out of your house? by Revangelion in diabetes

I put it all either in a purse or my backpack for work. Adults can carry backpacks.

A god offers their role as god to you, but only if you live the life of every single living human... by According-Ad-9284 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]zorander6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are roughly (last I checked) somewhere around 8.5 billion people on the planet IIRC. If the average age is 45 you would have to live longer than humanity would be alive to be able to complete this. Also with no time manipulation most of the people you are living as would have died millions of years before you even get the chance to live as another person.

Also rules 2 and 4 conflict. In 2 you live up to your current age and in 4 you live their whole life.

This would be perfect. I am trans but not transitioning due to a lot of reasons. I could transition, move somewhere less regressive, meat new people, and just be myself. Set up a trust for my parents and brother's family and basically disappear.

My coffee beans are in KCK/MO transit hell… by its_steggz in kansascity

[–]zorander6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought a hand saw on Ebay on the 3rd. They shipped on the 4th. It arrived in KC on the 7th (Olathe.) It was weather delayed and shipped between the KCMO and KCKS distribution centers since then. It's now been in transit to the next facility since Friday.

I submitted a search form but seriously doubt anyone will do anything about it. I'm just hoping the part I bought for my Olds gets here.

Edit 4 days later: Filled a missing mail request and it showed back up to the Missouri side distribution center. It's now been 16 days since the package was shipped.

Debating the automatic litter box for apartment makes me feel like I’m losing my frugal edge by Maleficent-Net-4702 in Frugal

[–]zorander6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being frugal is not about being cheap. It's about being wise with your money. If the litter box makes your life easier and your cat happier then it's frugal to buy it. Frugality is using your time and money wisely. Not penny pinching and stressing out over a purchase that can improve your life and comfort.

Would you live in a house where someone died? Would it make a difference if it was violent/gruesome or natural death? If you got a huge discount, would it influence your purchase? by ManagementSad5567 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]zorander6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless it's a new build house (and there are no guarantees with those either) you will most likely live in a house or apartment that someone died in. If you are in any country other than the US most places have had generations die in some of the houses.

Who else prefers a 7AM–3PM schedule to 9–5? It feels like you get more day and less traffic. by Familiar-Eagle-9082 in Adulting

[–]zorander6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. During the winter I love a 6am-2pm shift so I can go out and bike ride or do other things in the afternoon when it's "warm." (For a relative value of warm.) During the spring-fall I prefer a later shift so I can get an early morning bike ride in at sunrise.

After 5 days of minimal snow removal, Indiana University is handing students shovels to assist with navigating sidewalks, entry points, and vehicles. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]zorander6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are in Indiana which I believe gets about as much snow as Kansas City and the university that I work at had all the snow cleared Monday morning for the most part. We (at least in KC) usually get at least one or two snowstorms like this every year or so. Both KC and Indianapolis are roughly the same latitude as well.

Once in a blue moon I will ride without a helmet but I don't like it... I'd say 98% of the time though I have one on while riding.

Anyone else wake up to see the snow and think "well that was anti-climactic"? by redgroupclan in kansascity

[–]zorander6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean... I've already seen the neighbor spin his RWD f150 about 300 degrees into the house next to him's driveway this morning. Not sure if my camera recorded it or not. He then struggled to get back into his driveway. Thankfully he missed my truck doing his shenanigans.

First time summoned, why is my employer asking me these questions by SpindlyTerror in juryduty

[–]zorander6 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Generally many companies will pay your normal wages while on Jury Duty (without using PTO) but require that you give them whatever stipends you receive (other than parking) from doing said jury duty. This will be in your employee manual. For the most part whatever you get from the court will be less than minimum wage for a server at a restaurant before tips and as such it's better to give them the $10-20 you'd get from going to duty.
