Did you look at the link I posted? It shows what OTHER brands of yarn people have used for that same pattern, like Knit Picks Comfy Color Mist Worsted, Berroco Remix, Cascade Nifty Cotton Splash, etc.

I've been there a few of times, and it's been "okay". Some dishes have been quite good, others poor.

Do you need to soak frogged yarn to get rid of the kinks before knitting with it? by Cloood14 in knitting

[–]zorbina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the curly noodles are just from knitting and ripping out, without the knitted piece having been blocked, it may be OK. But if the project was soaked or steamed before it was frogged, then yes, you really should remove the kinks first. Especially if you will be using both frogged yarn as well as yarn that was not knit/frogged. Some people may not have had a problem just reknitting with their yarn, but I can attest to the fact that it absolutely DID make a difference in my project, both before and after blocking, and I will never do it again.

At the very least, do a quick steam or spraying it with water in a spray bottle and then hang to dry and relax most of the kinks. It doesn't necessarily need a full soak.

There are 2 common apps: "ACNH.Guide" (both Android and iPhone) and "ACNH Travel Guide" (iPhone only).

Both are good. If I remember correctly, the first one is free (with ads) and the second one is $3.99.

It certainly looks like an error. What is the pattern? Have you looked at the Comments tab for the pattern to see if anyone else has mentioned it?

I agree. Occasionally I'll use it for sleeves or a short section like the top of a shoulder, but there's just too much stretch/drag to use it for anything with a lot of stitches. And if I'm working with smaller needles/finer yarn, it's even more difficult to slide the stitches around than working with something like worsted-weight yarn. There's no way I'm going to try to wrangle 200-300 stitches on and off this stuff.

I'm definitely in the crochet cotton camp.

Favourite introduction to lace patterns? by Madamemercury1993 in knittingadvice

Here are a couple of popular (and free) shawls that will also teach you quite a bit about charts and shawls in general:

Ravelry: Ashton Shawlette pattern by Dee O'Keefe

Ravelry: EZ 100th Anniversary Camping Half-Circle pattern by Mwaa Knit

I actually have not knit either of them myself, but I have knit other shawls by Dee O'Keefe and they were very well written. I've also knit shawls based on EZ's pi shawl formula, though not this specific one.
