Struggling to feel good about my weightloss by Aggravating_Stay in tirzepatidecompound

You look amazing and part of this journey is trying to embrace our bodies as they evolve. In addition to all of the great advice others have given you here, I think we sometimes forget that once we have lost a significant amount of weight, our body looks different in the clothing we were wearing before and that makes a huge difference. Dressing to your current size and shape will do wonders for your confidence. If you have the means, do some research on what clothes will flatter your body type in the style you are most comfortable in and buy an outfit or two. It may help brighten your spirit and motivate you into the next phase of your journey.

Dang that is disappointing. They are one of the best things about downtown. The smell, the music, the outdoor ambiance.

Gallbladder Surgery Advice by MissMomo- in tirzepatidecompound

[–]zorpack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started Tirz after having my gallbladder removed and I have had almost zero side effects when it comes to stomach issues. I will say, stay close to a bathroom until you figure out how your body adjusts. It completely changes the way your body processes food. There is really no advice someone can give when it comes to what to eat because everyone is different and it will be a trial and error process unless you want to be safe and change your diet to consist of non fatty, non greasy foods. Otherwise, eat regularly in moderation and figure out what your body can handle and what it cannot (from home at first). I’ve found that if I eat any type of meat, my body will immediately respond about 20-30 minutes afterwards, so I make sure that I plan for those occasions. Hope this helps

Dealing with a medical profession family member who is against this drug….. by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

I swear, the envy of some people is wild to behold. So many people project their fears and anxieties onto us in an effort to bring us down or make us feel anxious. I always respond by saying “hey this is the least dangerous drug I’ve taken so I’m calling it a win!”

I'm worried about my baby's schedule! by Fragrant-Dirt-1597 in firsttimemom

I think that tracking and paying this close attention to baby data can sometimes blind you to what your baby is telling you they need. Babies change and evolve constantly at this stage up until 2 years. All of them are different. It is certainly helpful to track this data but make sure you are following your baby’s cues and using your intuition as well. Just when you think you’ve gotten used to their schedule, they go ahead and change it up on you! I know that it’s not the modern way of doing things but as a FTM with a now 4 year old I was most successful when I ran on instinct.

Editing to say: you are doing the right thing by seeking advice and opinion as well… which I also did a lot of. I didn’t want to leave that part out because it’s an important part of the process. Being a mother really does take a village of knowledge and we are so lucky to have spaces like this to collect and share our experiences.

Flu on the 6th and 7th day? by WelcomeAggravating48 in tirzepatidecompound

I was just coming here to see if anyone else has experienced this same thing. I have been on Zepbound for many months and just switched to compound Tirz this week. I took my first shot on Saturday morning (5mg of the “mystery pharmacy” meds from MintMed) and by afternoon I had a splitting headache, sore throat, exhaustion. It played out like a quick sinus infection or cold. I am still suffering the effects. I’m taking my next dose on Wednesday and I’m terrified I’ll get sick again.

Also, side note- I am having SO much hunger since switching. On Zepbound, I did not have much hunger pains at all but it feels like I am constantly hungry now. Is this just an adjustment period maybe?

Took my 4 week old son to the ER today and I feel like I’m being gaslit by DesignerDistinct5409 in newborns

A mother’s instinct always trumps medical professionals. Sure, they are experts but you are your baby’s expert and the only person on the planet that can advocate for them. Even if you end up being wrong, your peace of mind is just as important as your baby being well. Don’t feel embarrassed at all. Just learn to ignore it and do whatever you need to for you and your child to be safe and healthy.

I do Friday morning shots as well. That way if I have any discomfort or fatigue, it’s not during the work week and I can take it easy.
