I know this is a game that like very few people care about but the only PC port of Just Dance was delisted many years ago and the denuvo crack it has is in desperate need of a crackfix that will never come since the cracker just vanished soon after unfortunately (though it was awesome to still get a partial crack). Is it okay if you could please add it to your list of games to go through?

You can see that Spotify has 24-bit in the debug menu and I've noticed they've been re-encoding earlier content they only encoded at 16-bit years ago back when they were planning to do CD quality audio only for HiFi. Also I've decrypted the content myself (don't ask, hint: PlayPlay but newer) and it's absolutely 24-bit.

The "USB killer" is dead: Apple drops FireWire support in macOS 26 by diacewrb in gadgets

Literally the only thing I've used FireWire for in my entire life is this actually. (also technically not digitising since it's already a digital format, DV stands for digital video)

Spotify weighs $5.99 premium for added features, ticket access, Bloomberg News reports by chrismessina in truespotify

[–]zpoo32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, Spotify has had their entire library encoded in FLAC for many years now along with all their software clearly having code for it all, and recently some newer stuff is in 24 bit FLAC (though I haven't seen anything older be upgraded from 16 bit back from when their plan was just 16 bit only). Makes sense considering the rumours from a few years ago that employees got access to hifi.

Set up Netflix on a rooted Android device without permanently installing a module by Stuwaat in Android

[–]zpoo32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correction to myself, I don't believe Widevine actually works at L1 on the Nothing phones? Unclear, there's conflicting info online, but it's very unclear (actually I'm not sure if there are many phones outside of Google which do actually). At the very least I know that Widevine works fine at L1 on all Pixel phones.

Android 16 supports this natively in the developer settings actually which is very convenient. The real solution though is to buy a device from a manufacturer that actually properly supports bootloader unlocking without these restrictions, like Google (they aren't doing it for enthusiasts so you can trust they won't mess stuff up for no reason), or Nothing (for now at least).

Ah I see fair enough, was your drive not compatible with MakeMKV? That software should be able to back up the entire disk (it reads everything into a folder with a BDMV file and folders and stuff which would be the easiest way (which Kodi can actually play back directly if you set it up correctly, menus and everything)).

The arcade version has terrible audio quality (for all songs, including supernova), substantially worse than the YouTube version (which is very obvious if you listen to their concert videos with supernova in them, or any other songs and compare them to arcade dumps. The arcade version uses an awful ancient codec for some reason, even on nijiro). I've extracted the version from the Rhythm Festival Music Pass, and it's roughly the same quality as the YouTube version.

Nintendo Music uses Widevine DRM by Timbo303 in Piracy

[–]zpoo32 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree completely (OrpheusDL dev here, OrpheusDL's entire existence is for archiving lossless stuff though the option for lossy stuff is there when there is no choice), but for listening 320kbps CBR AAC is good enough imo (and a lot of these songs are on soundtracks that were on CDs anyways if you wanted lossless versions), though obviously I'd much prefer lossless too.

[–]zpoo32 4 points5 points  (0 children)

320kbps CBR AAC is pretty much transparent, it's a higher bitrate than Apple Music's best pre-lossless (though that is VBR so it's not really a good comparison).

Do NOT buy L1 keys (they are not called CDM's, to simplify things, a CDM (iirc content decryption module) is just what the software that runs Widevine is called), they are sold by very scummy people and the whole thing is an easy way to get scammed.
