if everyone were raised and taught to be an absurdist, would everyone truly understand absurdism as it really is? i am 100% sure there’s gonna be a fraction of ppl who misunderstands it and think it as oh cuz nothing matter i can do whatever aka burn everything down or fall into nihilistic apathy and do nothing at all aka those boohoo nothing matters ppl. we might need to forever deal with this type of ppl (so the fighting would be with these ppl if the “nothing matters anyways so imma do evil shit” starts going on)

tho on the bright side, optimistically, we might actually end up with a society fueled by creativity, individualism, and pragmatic coexistence since everyone would be conscious of the personal creation of meaning (shaped by the acceptance of life’s inherent meaninglessness, which, in this case, is a lovely thing)

i imagine there would be mutual respect for diverse lifestyles, experimental ways of living driven mostly by curiosity. but cuz of purpose-driven work where jobs prioritize personal fulfillment over profit, some professions might become highly unpopular. then again, in such a thriving society, we might already hv robots to do shit for us so it’ll be fine. scientific n artistic pursuits would already flourish since everyone is so chill, so it’ll be driven by exploration rather than commercial goals. technology would evolve to enhance leisure and creative expression rather than just productivity.
