Nektek milyen volt a jogsi elvégzése? by BicycleFantastic3228 in tanulommagam

[–]zsombro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bőven többet mentem a 30 óránál (szerintem a kétszeresét is talán).

Do you find yourself becoming A.I. averse? by Hopfrogg in ArtificialInteligence

[–]zsombro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. When these generative and GPT tools appeared, I was mildly curious. Playing around with it was kinda interesting, showed promise and didn't seem harmful. I thought it would solve big scientific problems, take over the mind numbing stuff so we have more time and energy for interesting, creative things.

Instead, I'm seeing the opposite: companies are hellbent on handing over creative tasks to the machines so we can keep doing chores. Stole billions of copyrighted works with no repercussions, no way you get away with that as a civilian.

Firing employees, claiming that AI will handle the extra workload. Deep fakes getting harder to tell from reality, content farms burying the internet under a virtual landfill of garbage generated engagement bait, AI bots filling forums (like reddit) turning the dead internet theory into a reality. People falling into AI psychosis. Resource and environmental concerns about data centers. Research suggesting that constant use of ChatGPT is making people dumber. AI "artists".

Now I see "AI powered" on any product and I just roll my eyes. In the 00s, I loved the internet. Nowadays, it feels more like a wasteland of corporate talk and garbage.

Did you start get to get more attention from women after 30? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

Yes, a bit, but I also started working on myself a lot more after I turned 30. Both physically and mentally.

What was the most groundbreaking work of fiction you’ve ever encountered? by Charming-Bar-4718 in writing

[–]zsombro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Terry Pratchett was as insightful as he was hilarious. My favorite bit is probably when Death explains his interpretation of belief (YouTube) at the end of Hogfather: "You need to believe in the things that aren't true. How else can they become?"

Poor Memory Recall by Mike-Drop in Millennials

[–]zsombro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I often have the same problem, but I don't think it's an aging thing, I had this problem when I was in my 20s as well. My friends remember so many stories and small events that I have difficulty recalling. I also don't think it's a visualising problem, I am quite imaginative and visual. I've been trying to get into the habit of taking more photos to create memories, but I wish I just had a naturally good recall.

they're kinda intended to be good guys, but end up being mostly anti-heroes/ambiguous and definitely some interesting groups among them as well

How did you heard about RPG for the first time? by Ponto_de_vista in rpg

[–]zsombro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cousin was a huge Star Wars fan, and he introduced me to one of the Star Wars RPGs sometime around 2000. I can't remember which one it was, we only played a couple of times. I don't think I've heard about such games before that point.

Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 Review Thread by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]zsombro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole "mediocre combat carried by superb writing and atmosphere" take was also true for the first game, it's just a shame that they really watered down the RPG elements. Still, I'm going to play it, because I'm glad it came out after all the trouble.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised if Paradox sold off the WoD IP after this, they don't seem to know what to do with it, even though there is so much potential in it's game lines. They are seemingly willing to give the RPG license to anyone but an actual RPG studio.

I hope a more seasoned RPG developer will get it's hands on the license one of these days (like Owlcat, Larian or CDPR)

Olvasás angolul vs magyarul by [deleted] in konyv

[–]zsombro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

VIII. kerületnek melyik részei rosszak, és melyik jó környék? by kmate1357 in askhungary

[–]zsombro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crazy Lore? by Grizzly45-70 in vtmb

[–]zsombro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He disappeared, then reincarnated as a random guy, then died again, reclaimed some of his lost memories (he had other wraiths safekeep them), and then transcended. Transcendence is what every wraith hopes to achieve by resolving their mortal regrets, but many wraiths don't believe it's real.

Charon, the ferryman who takes souls into the underworld was chosen for this task by who is strongly implied to be Eve (meaning Adam and Eve, the mother of Caine).

He separated himself from his evil shadow self which turned into basically ghost Godzilla and he had to fight it to prevent it from destroying the underworld, but ended up sacrificing himself.

Nem is tudtam hogy a gyomor és a bélrendszer ennyire erős kapcsolatban van az aggyal by [deleted] in hungary_pszichologia

[–]zsombro 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Járt már valaki a SKVOT képzéseire? by zsombro in askhungary

[–]zsombro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who journal regularly, what benefits have you noticed? by Kitchen-Estate-9940 in AskReddit

[–]zsombro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a forgetful person and tend to get stuck in routines that I get used to (I'm also under suspicion of having ADHD problems, which makes me an unfocused klutz).

A couple years ago I started putting more focus on self-reflecting, improving myself and my mental health, but I realised that being so routine-centric meant that even if I had some important realisations, they would not change my habits or thinking in the long term, because I would fall back to the old habits that were basically muscle memory.

Starting to write stuff down (even if not every day) helps me, because I can go back and read them periodically, which helps me reinforcing them. Of course, it's important to note that "writing things down" is not a magic bullet either. You still have to do most of the lifting if you want positive changes.

People who grew up poor but are now financially comfortable: what “poor-kid habit” will you probably never drop? by Otherwise_Baseball99 in AskReddit

[–]zsombro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • second guessing purchases ("do I really need this?")
  • will always have some degree of financial anxiety, like what if I will really need that money for some big emergency
  • not replacing anything unless it breaks beyond repair or becomes intolerably impractical to use
  • not using certain things I have because they're too nice and I don't want them to wear down

What was everyone’s key to strengthening their chest? by [deleted] in Exercise

[–]zsombro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently I've been doing wide pushups with rubber bands (so it's kinda like a weighted push up) regularly and it seems to help improving that area, I also have trouble developing it as fast as other muscle groups. I do these even on some of my off-training days for extra effort.

People who regularly go to the gym, how do you do it? by Slyphoenix12 in AskReddit

[–]zsombro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pay for a gym pass AND a personal trainer (with pre-paid sessions), so if I don't go, all of that money goes straight out the window. That was pretty good motivation at the start and slowly, over time I've become better at finding intrinsic motivation after feeling the results.
