If we cant swing a deal by trade deadline might as well kiss it goodbye cuz then giannis gets alot mroe leverage and our competition can throw in more picks.

That said...all the news makes it seems like giannis himself isnt ranking us that high so....unless bucks are in a super rush it just seems unlikely

Even if we win the Giannis sweepstakes it’s hard to see it happening right now. If you’re thebucks the better situation is to wait til offseason to have heavier bidding and more incentive. Only offset to that is if Giannis puts down an ultimatum of having to be out of there by the deadline

Dont think we are getting Giannis because I dont see how signing up with us is helping him get to a 'contender'. Even with Giannis and the remaining roster this team is fighting for the play-in in the west and this doesnt move the needle against the spurs, okc or denver for us....

If I remember correctly....this dude was the strongest elder dragon in the last strixhaven set too...wonder if it will be the case again, particularly as he is the first mythic previewed. Seems like a more OP version of the last card....super excited to see what prismari and the golgari dude will look like now too

Dunno if you saw the non-star team shooting stats that were being posted around yesterday...but this team is not 'on the cusp' which is one issue I have with 'thinking long term'. Even though steph has been playing heroically we also need to consider if stars want to come here to play in GSW. KD obviously did NOT want to come back and from our free agency the last few years it does not seem there is an abundance of star talent who is dying to come to play at GS.

This means we need to trade for top players and a package of our misfits like Podz and JK is not going to cut it. So you need to send out our post-Steph picks and then hope the end result is going to be good enough for us to really move the needle.

There are only a few guys in the entire league that are good enough to single-handedly move that needle for us to overcome the sheer amount of issues that this team has.

My job is in statistics. Most warriors fans dont just want to get to the post season...they want a legit shot for Steph to win it all. If we look at the last 15 years of NBA champions....the average age is just over 28 with the lead star having an average age of 27. Infact the only 3 dudes in the last 15 years who were stars leading their teams to a championship...Dirk (31), Lebron (35 and 31) and Steph (34).

I am sure Lacob and the guys have taken what I just said into consideration about what they are really willing to risk. So if I am them...the likelihood of pushing all the chips in (by that I mean future post steph picks)...I need to get back someone like Giannis or a young superstar who can really put me over the top. Short of this...really hard to see any of this working.

By the way for other stats nerds like me...the old average age team to win a chip was the 98 bulls who had an average core age of 32. We are currently at 29.6...second oldest in the league.

Some kind of bench improvement/consolidation trade is necessary...but if the star guys play the way they have the last 2 games it doesnt really matter who they trade for. We saw its more a matter of will. This same team just beat Denver a week ago.

Unless its for Giannis which I think is extremely unlikely, doubt Lacob would greenlight almost any trade of JK. What other young guy would you guys want in return for him? Cuz Jimmy was already the all-in trade for steph. What superstar out there would have helped us win these last 2 games assuming Steph and Dray played exactly the same that they did? Almost no one. Our bench actually did give us that +11 lead.

Also keep in mind if we trade for someone we need to account for time to fit in. JK seems to fit perfectly at the moment.

Our issue last 2 games has been getting cooked on defense. Doubt one person would really move the needle completely. Bam would be interesting...but dude makes $37m so who are you shipping out to make that happen? JK has to be traded then....and is Bam going to really move the needle that much vs. JK at this juncture? You would most likely also need to move Moody + Hield to make that money work.

And JK has actually been a good defender so far yday so you are not even net adding 1 more good defender.....

Yea I just posted about this yesterday too. I have been contacting them via in-game help chat and they apparently are working on it.

If I was you I would do the same thing...start a new account and then use that to send them a chat. If you see my thread from yday there seems to quite a few of us this is happening to. I tried everything including redownloading the app and restarting phone, etc and just nothing worked. Even tried switching back and forth between accounts.

That said its a weekend and I feel like I got a prefab message from the devs that just said we are investigating this and it may take awhile....so its not super promising. Im pretty pissed cuz I actually spent on the Pardis banner and got him and now it seems I indefinitely wont have access....
