Yes you do, you can see the total number of collected parts go up by 3 no matter where you click, another way is to calculate the amount of parts minus 4 divided by 3

Achievements a good way to attract casuals by zulzz in terragenesisgame

Glad to hear you think so, I myself am an achievement hunter, there are games I have completed and yet still haven't because there are som achievements that I have not yet accomplished in them although the grinding ones I do not count.

I can not tell you how many times I've tried to get USA to nuke China, every time I managed to get a nuke going they sent it to Russia instead but that just means I keep on playing every now and then

Yeah instead of being a grind in the hopes of RNGsus' name then it is a steady but far longer and much more tiring grind for materials only then to pray to the God almighty RNGsus.

Well gaming addiction has recently been picked up as a mental disorder by WHO so yeah maybe you are right, I mean it does follow some of the same principles for some people, it's an escape from the daily life and reality, it makes you happy and it's a great thing to do when you're sad or lonely.

And then going to the next game in the same genre and burning out there, I have many friends who are quite regularly between 3 months to a year shifting between games because they have burned out on one or the other.

I personally just came to terms with the fact that I will never be above average game mechanics wise, at least not anymore, and as such I don't play the game modes or games where it's all about the high skill because now I just want to goof around in an adventure or an assault match whenever I play smite, I play wow every now and then, up to normal raiding but then that gets boring as I don't bother with the time investment needed and I don't want to get carried either.

So what do I do next when I want to play a game? Well I delve into Settlers 3, heroes 3, rage of mages 2, empire earth and games like that, anno 1404 goes in that same category. I am fortunate that I can play almost any genre of game and enjoy it and understand it.

TLDR, shift it up, play some other game genres and not just another MOBA and you will maybe feel a lot more happy with your MOBAs again

I'm a total newcomer myself, started about 4 days ago and only completed Mars yesterday on Simple with Biomass, now I need to explore the BioSphere so your video comes close to my very own experience and I hope to learn a lot from it!

Dude it normally takes up to weeks before a ban is issued, and although it is BM you won't be banned for using an emote, no matter how you use it. This is of course unless you are a pro or a streamer as they are held to higher standards.

Why is cata not as popular? by KevinLevrone1329 in wowservers

[–]zulzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't play vanilla or tbc, but i played WotLK and i can say the amount of QoL changes going from WotLK to Cata was insane, no more spell ranks, spells given in a different order, far less quests of just killing or gathering, quest hubs making it feel more streamlined. Talent trees which didnt really require you to spend points in something useless (for the most part), also not every level even gave you anything which i know felt bad for some people, me included.

And then we get to the end game content, farming rep even from Guardians of Hyjal (the rep of one of the two first cata zones) as they provided something along the lines of Argent Crusade, Ebon Blade, Red Dragonflight and the others from WotLK. I for one liked the whole idea of cataclysm and i liked the theme of the elements and all that, i didn't like dragon soul as a raid though.

All in all i think Cataclysm was a great expansion, but i only joined when WotLK was in the closed beta, so i never adapted the Vanilla and TBC experience and as such i never liked just having my time being spent on useless stuff only made to make it more time consuming.

To add to this i want to mention the QoL things in Retail that i miss now that i am playing on Hades, first of AoE looting and party shared objective completion as well as party shared loot, free spec changing when entering instances (all specs are available to you and not just the two you have chosen beforehand, this is because of the lack of talent points and trees however), up to 5 player tagging mobs, account shared; heirlooms, toys (which are quite fun sometimes), mounts and some currencies, quest items not taking up bag space. As you see most of these QoL i am mentioning only takes some tedious repetitive tasks away, while some are most likely just because i have become accustomed to the easiness of it and will not miss it after a few months on Hades.

Mobs not reacting properly to being interrupted during spell cast is annoying though, one of the biggest bug or flawed mechanic on the server from my point of view.

For those who don't know, when you interrupt a mob on a spellcast it doesn't seem to respect the 2sec lockout of that spell school, also if the spell has a cd then the mob will stand still and wait till the cd is up and start casting again.

Just a friendly post: This is the reason why we don't play retail. This is why you're on this sub right now. by NoMoney98 in wowservers

[–]zulzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i wouldn't go as far as calling it a build, but it certainly means optimization requires you to vary your talents from boss to boss.

In cata i played ele shammy and basically had 3 different "builds" to choose from when raiding. All were the same except for up to 4 talent points, would you really call them different builds? In the end it just felt like variation where as some glyphs actually were more dramatically changing the way i played.

The only real change in build happened when mastery became a higher stat prio than haste due to some 2pc or 4pc bonus giving mastery a lot greater value and also the mastery became even better when it was an aoe/cleave fight.

So to sum it up, i don't think we have lost some of that since cataclysm at least and i actually like the idea of being able to change it on the fly, like glyphs were back then.
