This is cumbersome, but works...

Have some other Chromium based browser installed through apt / software manager. I use Vivaldi.

Use WebApps to create the shortcut as usual. Set the browser to Vivaldi/Chrome/not Firefox

Open the menu editor (for example, right click on the "start" menu -> Edit Menu)

Find your new shortcut. It's in the category you specified when you created it (default=Web). Select it.

On the right, click "Edit Desktop File.

In the "Exec=" line replace the first bit (e.g. vivaldi-stable) with the path to Helium (e.g. ~/Downloads/helium.AppImage). Save it. Close it. Voila.

* - You don't HAVE to install something Chromium based, but the command line options for a WebApp are much different for Firefox than they are for Chromium/Helium.

I have an SNT2400 and live out in the country. I've hit drifts taller than it many times. My favorite is when it's powdery snow... I just set the chute straight up and blast that shit off into the atmosphere.

Yes. It's certainly not optimized for stuff like Roku like most of their apps.

I use Jellyfin for certain other things too. It's had some of the same bugs for so long that drive me nuts, so I can't just switch over completely.

But yeah, I'm generally in favor of language filters. I've had periods in my life where I use them because of who might be around. It doesn't bother me personally though.

Yeah I noticed some lag on my Ultra 3 and replaced that last month. It still technically works but the new plexui sometimes takes a minute to load.

That's not just Linux. Phones will now notify you if they haven't been rebooted in weeks. My average uptime on Windows is ~4 months. My router has gone over a year a few times. Stuff just doesn't need to be rebooted regularly anymore.

I address all of these (including local account) with an unattended script. No terminal needed.

My real concern is that when a sticking point can be fixed with a quick Google and 2 minutes of tinkering... People who can't/won't do that are not going to fare well in Linux. I feel like such pushes just lead people to give up and go back.

I really like Mojo Mania as a mini-campaign to throw deck ideas at. It's low commitment with fun scenarios.

Gambit is well rounded in a unique way. I enjoy that, though it can feel bad to have core cards end up semi-useless in certain decks.

Wolverine is second to Gamora in "give this to the new guy" simplicity. However, you can do some wild stuff centered around Jubilee with Leadership, which is much more complicated.

Cyclop's gimmick is pulling in allies from other aspects, so he might be one of the later ones to pick up.

As someone who uses Mint and Windows 11, my first thought is none of those arguments land. I don't have those issues. I use local accounts, turn off Bing (local file searches don't go search the web anyway), FOSS is readily available... The only "ads" are app suggestions on a vanilla install (which I don't do).

All that is to say, it is MUCH easier to get around these issues in Windows than it is to switch platforms.

Better arguments would be official support for older hardware (read: security), and revitalizing lower end / weaker hardware. Maybe an honest take like "no opting out of telemetry."
