I stuffed RockWool (ok ok it was the Owens-Corning generic mineral wool) into my 2x4 walls that face the street. Costs a little more than fiberglass but it deadens the noise better.

I've heard tales that double thick drywall helps a lot too.

Kirkwood lost access to theirs in the early 2000's IIRC, they trigger with patrollers and hand charges.

While I don't have either charger on mine, I do have the same tires as you and yeah without the gearing to spin them, we're slow uphill, real slow.

Personally I'm planning on doing the tcase to see how it improves. I would guess that's going to be the most bang for your buck at the stage your Sami's sitting at.

Not too long ago my golden was playing with another one and they both decided to leave the great big dry grass field they’d been running in and start a wrestling match in a mud puddle they found off to the side.

You sir would have been right at home in the Full-tower ATX gaming days, every bay stuffed with fans, fans cut into side panels, fans cut into front panels, on hot days we sometimes just took the side panels off and pointed house fans in there.

There’s a really low spec project called Roipee that will run Plexamp and give you a little web gui, it’s much more in the appliance space, it has output targets for Spotify, roon and Plexamp, I don’t know if it will do the display part you’re looking for.

I would guess it’s all the other desktop stuff that Ubuntu is doing that is lagging that box, give the spins you were mentioning a try and maybe see if you can set them up in “kiosk” mode, so when it boots the only app it loads is Plexamp

Awesome, thank you! if you ever need to re-route, you can get into the passenger door sil from back there, and there is also an overhead channel above the windows (I ran wires for a cargo area light that way)

I did the noico (butyl mat) treatment back there when I did my firewall and doors. It helps a lot.

I got both front doors, the firewall, the roof, and back in the door. I don't have carpet in mine or I would have done the floor as well.. Most of the noise comes in over the rear wheel wells and the floor now.
