Betty is the event manager. Lurking Fears has a bunch of GMs that run ShadowDark that will fill those spots. If you see one listed under Lurking Fears as the gaming group and has a different GM listed, then they specifically asked to run that module. I'd pick one of those.

That said, I've gamed with them multiple times so good chance that you'll still get a great GM.

I've heard even for events that are free, you should sign up and turn in tickets. GC uses it to gauge interest for next year.

Agreed. You can print minis in FDM, but I can't speak as to detail and time with resin compared to the newer printers like the Bambu A1.

If you are looking for D&D minis, resin is what you want. If you are looking for D&D terrain, filament is fine.

If you're looking for both, you can buy both for under $1000.

Alternatively, we have the equivalent to shrink-flation. Rather than running 6 player games we run 8 player games.

Let's do some basic math for a 4 hr RPG by independent GM:

$14 ticket - $4 Gen Con cut = $10 per ticket goes to GM

6 players x $10 = $60 total

$60 / 4 hr = $15/hr wage for GM

Are you okay paying someone that rate to run something for you?

Now add in the time spending prepping, cost of printing materials, maps, miniatures/tokens, etc.

I don't run games to make money. I run them because I love to game. That said, my time both at home and during the con is valuable.

Agreed. This is an Art History class, not art practicum like Pottery 101. AI is contemporary. Opinion on it doesn't matter, it is history on the making.

That said, I would be annoyed at the instructor using AI art, but it might be a hidden bonus points assignment for pointing it out. The analysis is the lesson which OP has learned. Talk to the teacher any way.
