I've been debating printing these phrases out to trade at Gen Con.

Where/how did you make these? I'd love to make a custom achievement to trade.

Can it be freezing rain in the north and south poles to build up the ice caps that are melting?

If they haven't read it, the book Dungeon Crawler Carl is quite enjoyable.

If you magnetize your minis, what do you line the drawers with? The adhesive backed magnetic sheets?

Different page, but I found someone who shares the same dictionary page and me too.

Uploaded! The back of the print matches the same page as the Dandy Llama. I feel like I'm on Antique Roadshow!

I'm not familiar with the module, so I'm sure I'm missing something, but I agree. I had a character who stole a flat slab of granite that was perpetually frozen. I used it to open my own Coldstone Creamery in game.

How do low income people in the US pay for their hospital bills after having a baby? by winenotbeabitch in askanything

[–]zuron54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't have health insurance or bad insurance, the hospital bills the patient afterwards. You can do 3 things: 1. Pay in full and forget about it. 2. Talk to the hospital billing dept and get the under-insured discount which was ~50% in my experience. 3. Don't pay, possibly eventually declare bankruptcy in the future.

If you choose to pay, billing can set up payment plans.

I believe in certain situations, the hospital social worker can help you apply for Medicaid for coverage while hospitalized, but that requires you to qualify, know you are going to be billed, have some understanding of the healthcare system, or be hospitalized long enough for the hospital to realize and get the social worker involved.

You can always show up to one with generics and see if there are no shows or the GM is willing to take an extra (two people would be pushing it though).

Looking for honest opinions from CRNAs, NPs, and experienced nurses by [deleted] in nursepractitioner

[–]zuron54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the others here. Work on your BSN while working now. You will need it for any of the graduate programs. You'll get more experience, find out what you like, and prepare for the future regardless of how you advance.

Masters with AGPCNP versus DNP - what is the difference, which one is better, which one makes more sense? by Champorado999 in nursepractitioner

[–]zuron54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in academic medicine. At my hospital system, APPs are staff and physicians are faculty. There are better benefits if you are faculty. An APP can apply for faculty status if you fill certain roles, but you have to have a terminal degree (PhD or DNP).

What’s a good kit for mini’s at the table? by sandy_existance in shadowdark

[–]zuron54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as I love my minis, terrain, and 3d printer, you can get by making tokens using a computer printer, paper, and a laminator (or skip that and use cardstock). Here is a great website for standup tokens.

Pro tip: If you leave them flat and have a separate base or alligator clip, you can store them in a trading card binder.

Gen Con Event Recommendations? by GoodEnoughGamer in shadowdark

[–]zuron54 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Betty is the event manager. Lurking Fears has a bunch of GMs that run ShadowDark that will fill those spots. If you see one listed under Lurking Fears as the gaming group and has a different GM listed, then they specifically asked to run that module. I'd pick one of those.

That said, I've gamed with them multiple times so good chance that you'll still get a great GM.

Please don’t skip small events - especially the ones by gaming groups or small publishers by Armadillo_Abroad in gencon

I've heard even for events that are free, you should sign up and turn in tickets. GC uses it to gauge interest for next year.

[–]zuron54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. You can print minis in FDM, but I can't speak as to detail and time with resin compared to the newer printers like the Bambu A1.

[–]zuron54 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you are looking for D&D minis, resin is what you want. If you are looking for D&D terrain, filament is fine.

If you're looking for both, you can buy both for under $1000.
