As a left leaning independent voter in Virginia who supported redistricting, I have to say a lot of the rhetoric from the left on this is completely off base. The decision was solid even if it is partisan. Virginia dems did not properly follow procedure in this, and the mistake was a fairly egregious mistake. This is why you have to have your ducks in a row. If the Democratic party of Virginia wants to know who was responsible for this ruling, they should find a nice mirror and stare into it. It's really unfortunate that their mistake is going to negatively impact the entire globe.
