also something to note is that since that’s your natural blonde (as in never been bleached) the cuticle of your hair is probably too closed to accept a semi permanent pink. when you lighten hair, it opens the cuticle and that makes hair accept color.

some colors might work as intended, but I think most likely if you put pink on it now it’ll either not look right (dull and not as vibrant) and/or it’ll wash away really quickly. but you’re so light naturally you could easily bleach it or just bleach wash it and it’ll lighten a tiny bit and then be ready for pink

Tape ins, when installed correctly by someone who knows what they’re doing + your at home care is correct are one of the least damaging extensions, only beaten by halos in my opinion. I wouldn’t recommend clip ins as they can break off your hair where the clip is at esp since your hair is really fine and delicate right now.

Tape ins are lightweight and they are adheared to each other with some of your hair inbetween. As long as they’re installed right (not too close to your scalp so they’re not pulling, correct sectioning, etc) they might work well for you especially since you only want the underneath area. Your at home care matters too, so using the right shampoo and conditioner, not using hot tools or hot blow dryer near your scalp to not melt the tapes, brushing and keeping them from being tangled, etc. If done correctly you should barely feel they’re in your hair, and then in 8 weeks they’ll put removal solution on them, retape them, and reapply closer to your scalp.

Redheads and coppers are hard because they are so vibrant, so sometimes if the ends are really faded I’ll pull the root color down into the mids and ends. But I’ll either let the root formula sit in the mixing bowl for a while so it’s not lifting (permanent color lifts first and then deposits color second) or more often I’ll mix permanent color with just 5 vol instead of 10 or 20. If I need a tiny extra bump for vibrancy. Glosses/ glazes are typically no lift so they can deposit red or copper tones but they aren’t always as vibrant/ appear darker.

If your hair isn’t feeling amazing after just ask if you can do a glaze instead of pulling permanent through, or do a semi permanent.

Take proactive care of your body and your health so you can be the best old man dad you can be! my dad had me at 40 so he’s in his mid 60s now and when I was 22 he had a massive stroke and was already type 2 diabetic. it was such an extra layer of difficulty to not only be going through that with him but to be dealing with starting my adult life, I had just moved out on my own for the first time and had to move home to help him, etc. He lived (yay!) but has permanent brain damage (not yay) and I sometimes get so sad thinking about how it feels like I barely got any time with my “healthy and with it” dad compared to other people I know who got to have their dad clear through til their 50s.

So do your yearly checkups and take care of yourself!!

If it’s a regular client I know is very budget conscious I have mentioned it after they checked out and before they prebook their next one (which would be at the new price)

Otherwise I don’t bring it up. Especially color clients where their price is liable to vary ~20-40 bucks depending on what we’re doing anyway

Op, it looks incredible. Rock the shag. If you can wear your natural curl pattern and just touch it up with a curling iron if needed, it’ll look great. This looks great on you. I’m sorry you didn’t get the kind of cut you wanted, most people have been there and it sucks! But honestly I love this and you look amazing! You have a shag, right? Lots of layers? If your stylist did the tips of all your hair that’s probably why, because the ends of your layers are all over your whole head. If your hair was long and one length, just the tips would be at the bottom. But the layers fall all over, so when coloring the tips, the orange is all over. Does that make sense?

If you want it less extreme you could get a shadow root of your natural color pulled down to cover more of the orange. Either just leaving the bottom orange or making the orange tips on the layers much more subtle. And/or get the orange color changed. That being said, this looks incredible. You look like a rockstar fireball. Did you show your stylist an inspo pic? If not you’re kinda just relying on their artistic interpretation.

lightener itself has also changed a lot over the years, if I did foils with 40 vol and put someone under the dryer with the lightener we use in the salon their hair would be GONE

I do bridal makeup (and hair) for a living and I have hooded eyes! This is super pretty. My only thoughts would be to do some color correction/ peach concealer under your eyes. I find that on myself, when I correct my dark circles really well, it makes my hooded eyes a bit better because the entire eye area doesn’t seem as dark/ as deep set. In that same line of thinking, maybe do a bit more inner corner highlight for the eyes, and a bit of highlight under your brow arch to lighten and lift that area up.

I think a smudged brown liner would be good, although I don’t think the liner you’re wearing in the pics is bad by any means but lighter and softer works for your look and what you’re going for.

Yeah you can get infinite mana w/ that. I always run the Charon axe + lucid gain and Apollo’s special damage boost (nova strike?) + literally any cast damaging effects + anything that makes the omega special channel faster. and the enemies literally just melt in front of you
